Some players are playing major varsity minutes, some barely play, and others are on the sophomore team. These are prospects that we have come across in the last year that have caught our eye who are worth monitoring going forward. Here is our Watch List 2026 Post Prospects in ALPHABETICAL ORDER. This is not a ranking! Got it?
Stephen Brown Stephen Brown 6'7" | PF Marist | 2026 State IL (Marist)
Brown early in the process is the top post in the class. At 6’6” a lot will be dependent on how much he grows to where his ceiling will project, but there is a lot to work with early in the process. Strong frame and plus athleticism. High level rebounder that runs the floor, can handle it a little, and plays with a good motor. More of a defender/rebounder at this stage with an emerging offensive game.
Rico D’Alessandro Rico D’Alessandro 6'4" | PF Whitney Young | 2026 State IL (Whitney Young)
D’Alessandro made a name for himself in the fall and on the sophomore level this year for the Dolphins. Thick bodied 6’4” four man that is extremely skilled. Rebounds well in his area, can take opponents on the perimeter off the bounce, and score in the post.
Patrick Irvin Jr Patrick Irvin Jr 6'5" | PF Whitney Young | 2026 State IL (Whitney Young)
Another Dolphins post prospect here. The 6’5” four man is a very good rebounder that snatches them in traffic. Good athlete that gets on the offensive glass and flashes skill.
Jaali Love Jaali Love 6'7" | PF Manley | 2026 State IL (Manley)
Want production? At the varsity level as a freshman Love averaged 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks a game. Enough said!
Rashaun Porter Rashaun Porter 6'6" | PF DePaul Prep | 2026 State IL (DePaul Prep)
The 2A state champs might be getting even better! They have a ton returning including four potential D1 prospects in 2024 and 2025. Add this big man to the list to track long term!
