This one I sort of cheated on. He’s been on this list before, but then transferred. Well, he came back this year and is back on the list. Humphrey-Rembert is a bouncy forward with an impressive wingspan. He goes up after rebounds and earns a good number of high percentage looks at the rim. Humphre-Rembert is a versatile defender that really challenges shots.
Highlights
Sorry Taylor Trillium opponents, there’s another Fishburn to deal with. Keymarryon is similarly blessed with a diverse skill set and the ability to find buckets from a variety of places on the floor. He’s dependable with the ball and has good shot selection. Fishburn could be on the brink of a huge grassroots season.
Callahan makes a much deserved appearance in the rankings. He proved to be a very good scoring guard. First of all, you better close out on him when he gets a pass behind the arc because he can shoot it comfortably over top of a defender. Callahan can hit it with a hand in his face. He can also get out in transition and finish above the rim.
Hureskin was very impressive this season on an improving Ottawa Hills program. He was looked to as a scorer and seemed to vibe very well with a talented lead guard next to him. Hureskin showed that he should be considered a very dangerous 3 point shooter that has the ability to feel his jumper and get hot.
Viau had a breakout season as a junior. He stepped up big time for Brighton. Viau proved that he could be counted on as a shooter and scorer, giving the Bulldogs another talented perimeter player. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a huge senior season and make a big climb up this list.
We all might be well advised to remember this name. He may play at a small school, but Shiels has a very big game. He has done it all for Britton-Deerfield. From handle to distribute, to being counted on as a scorer, he’s shown that he’s up to the task. Shiels could have a very strong grassroots season.
