The WPIAL playoffs are set to hit full steam this week and there are talented prospects who could see their seasons end abruptly, while others take on runs towards the state title. Who's out there to follow on Monday night?

[player_tooltip player_id='1116023' first='Connor' last='Spratt'] | G | Seton LaSalle

One of the top senior guards in Pennsylvania, Spratt is a creative ballhandler and confident scorer at multiple levels. He's the engine that makes Seton LaSalle go, and in his absence, the Rebels struggled. They'll need him at his electric best to earn a birth in the state playoffs, starting with a tough trip down to Wash High.

[player_tooltip player_id='1395834' first='Makhai' last='Valentine'] | G| Steel Valley

Another fantastic scorer and one of the top offensive players in the area. Valentine is a threat to score the moment the ball crosses half court and has range well beyond the college line. He's also got a physical edge from playing football--and the developed frame to go with it, making him a valuable scorer both getting at the rim and pulling up. He and [player_tooltip player_id='1395937' first='Cruce' last='Brookins'], a Pitt football commit, will carry Steel Valley on their shoulders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1186069' first='Andrew' last='Maddalon'] | G | North Catholic

While junior [player_tooltip player_id='1188004' first='Max' last='Hurray'] has gotten the most attention on the media and recruiting front, it's the floor general Maddalon who has driven the bus for NC this winter. He's capable with the ball in his hands and can score when called upon, but he's also an excellent half court facilitator. He's committed to Roanoke, but first he'll lead North Catholic on a playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id='991329' first='Rodney' last='Gallagher'] | G | Laurel Highlands

With football as his future, Gallagher's basketball days are numbered. Pittsburgh fans who haven't seen him would do well to get to the Uniontown area school to watch his excellent first step and explosive moves to the hoop. He's got a shot to match and at one point he had D1 offers from Florida for both football and basketball before settling on the Gridiron future. His running mate [player_tooltip player_id='991354' first='Keondre' last='DeShields'] recently committed to St Francis(PA) for football as well.

Braydn Foster | F | Highlands

Foster is a legit 6'8" and has a rock solid 220lb frame, making him among the top post players in Western Pennsylvania. He has a well rounded skillset that allows him to play with his back to the basket or face up defenders. He's going to be a sought after prospect in the class of 2024 but for now he teams with senior [player_tooltip player_id='991347' first='Jimmy' last='Kunst'] to give the Natrona Heights school a heck of an inside-outside punch.
