One of the underrated PG’s in all of 5A but regardless how many points he scores he is going to drop dimes. He has a couple of double-doubles this year and has even gone off in the scoring column a few times. You often see his passes go viral when he is dropping on the money passes to Chris Cox Chris Cox 6'7" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ his high flying teammate. He has a tight handle and he knows how to set up his defender and sell misdirection set plays that lead to easy buckets.
Put him where you want but this kid is one of the best PG’s in 5A and he defends all five positions. The future is bright for this young multi-use PG. Bryce can score at all three levels and he plays a lot of minutes and he does make some young mistakes but it will pay off in time.
We mentioned him earlier this week but Cooper has really turned the corner this year. He is playing better defense and if you do not put your best PG defender on him he will have his way as he did with Alta earlier this week. Put your best defender on him and don’t switch he will make you pay, watch the film.
Highlights
Y’all need to really respect this kid because he does a great job getting everyone involved. Chance is putting up solid assist numbers and he keeps defenses honest with some quality shooting. Look for him to make a big jump next year, especially in the assist column.
Ace keeps proving that he can play at a high level. Will have a big year when he jumps on with Utah Gold who has put together one of the best Class of 2024 rosters you will see. Ace uses elite footwork and his shifty dribbling and handle make it difficult. You can’t stand around when he is dribbling. you have to move and cut and he will find you.
Jaxon is starting to pick up some traction as he pulled an offer from a NJCAA squad looking to build a new culture with tough players that can score. Jaxon is a big threat when he has the ball in his hands as he has a quick release and he has range.
Only PG in 5A committed to play for a D1 school. Utah State fell in love with his play. Jordan has elite vision and passing ability paired with some of the highest IQ you will see. He fits in perfect with what Utah State needs and is doing. Good size and impressive defensive reading skills as he looks like an elite safety or DB out there racking up steals. Likely leads the state in steals.
