Continue ReadingAs the 2022-23 regular season ends, we wanted to examine the contributions of SEPA’s Class of 2025. A considerable number of 2025 prospects had an impact for their varsity squads. Some 2025s were even starters.
However, only a select few ‘25s were No. 1 / No. 2 options for their team and thus posted a monster season. When our next 2025 rankings update is published in March, we expect the prospects we are talking about will be at or near the top.
Based on what we saw this season, today we answer the question “Who are the top 2025 prospects in southeastern Pennsylvania?”
(Presented in alphabetical order).
Luke Bevilacqua Luke Bevilacqua 6'10" | C George School | 2025 State #68 Nation PA – 6’11” / George School / Philly Pride National / Center: This 240-pound double-double machine unleashed a vastly improved face up game this season. When you combine that new asset with Bevilacqua’s dominating post-up moves, ability to operate in pick-n-roll and splash the occasional 3-pointer, you get an unstoppable prospect. For his size, Bevilacqua runs rim to rim extremely well. On a team filled with DI talent, Bevilacqua is averaging 15 points to along with 9.3 rebounds per game. His 26 points and 12 rebounds game vs. MFS was an epic performance. He also impressed us by posting 22 points and 10 boards vs. West Nottingham (MD). Bevilacqua holds offers from St. Joe’s, Cincinnati and St. John’s.
Devin Booker – 6’6” / Cristo Rey / K-Low Elite / Wing: Booker is an athletic perimeter prospect with a long wingspan who is a plus player at both ends of the floor. On offense, he can slash to the rim for a catch and lay-in, score off the dribble and shoot jumpers from any spot on the floor. Booker has a knack for finishing on opponent’s heads. His marquee performances of the season were 33pts and 13rebounds vs. Community Academy as well as 30pts and 10 boards against Foundation Academy. He also poured in 25 points vs. GFS and then again vs. Friends Select. At the other end of the court, Booker cleans the glass and provides rim protection. He holds an offer from Fordham.
Jayden Forsythe Jayden Forsythe 6'4" | CG Westtown School | 2025 State #144 Nation PA – 6’4″ / Westtown School / New Heights / Combo Guard: There is no doubt that Forsythe can get buckets at all three levels. The range of his 3-point shot is especially impressive. However, if you watch Forsythe for an extended period, you will notice that his court vision, instincts, and unselfish mind set make him an elite distributor as well. Forsythe’s highlights from this season include 25 points (4 threes) vs. Perkiomen School and 22 points (5 threes) vs. West Nottingham Academy (MD). He holds offers from St. John’s and Fordham.
Shareef Jackson Shareef Jackson 6'9" | C Roman Catholic | 2025 State #249 Nation PA – 6’8″ / Roman Catholic / NJ Scholars Elite / Power Forward: Jackson has been a starter in the middle at Roman and our #1 ranked 2025 for two years now. For a sophomore, Jackson’s positioning skills, footwork, basketball IQ and touch around the rim are extremely advanced. Jackson can score over a defender or bully his way to the rim. Plus, he is quick enough to blow past his defender with the dribble. When he is operating out of the high post, Jackson is a fantastic passer. Jackson is averaging 12 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 blocks per game. He holds a slew of DI offers.
Jaron McKie Jaron McKie 6'2" | SG St. Joseph's Prep | 2025 State #74 Nation PA – 6’1” / St. Joe’s Prep / NJ Scholars Elite / Combo Guard: McKie has been a starter at SJP and near the top of our 2025 rankings since day one. When you watch him play, it is easy to see why. McKie (17 ppg; 47% on triples) is an elite backcourt prospect who can score from anywhere of the floor. Additionally, he can facilitate for teammates and is a good rebounding guard (5 rpg.). Still, what may be McKie’s best asset is his basketball mind. McKie’s high IQ and composure are next level. He never gets sped up or shrinks from the moment. McKie holds a handful of DI offers.
Will Riley Will Riley 6'7" | SF Phelps School | 2025 State #29 Nation PA – 6’7” / Phelps School / UPlay Canada / Wing: 2022-23 is Riley’s first season of high school basketball in the United States, so he did not appear in our preseason rankings. We can guarantee that he will be a top 5 prospect come March, because this Canadian baller is the most college ready 2025 player in Pennsylvania. Simply put, Riley (26.4 ppg.; 4 rpg. & 2.3 apg.) is a playmaker. His speed, handles, physique and hops enable him to excel in transition (scoring & distributing). In the half-court he can hits shots from the baseline, mid-range, and the arc. As a bonus, he competes on the glass and is a plus defensive player. Riley’s standout games include a 44-point effort vs. Olympus Prep and 42 points against Lawrenceville Prep. Riley is hearing from a host of P5 programs.
Bryce Rollerson Bryce Rollerson 5'11" | PG Germantown Academy | 2025 State PA – 5’11” / Germantown Academy / Eastern PA Elite / Point Guard: Rollerson (21 ppg.) has been asked to be more of a scorer this season and he has thrived in that new role. Playing as GA’s “score first” point guard, Rollerson has proven that he can get buckets at all three-levels. However, it is his old school mid-range game that will impress college coaches the most. Rollerson also possesses excellent court vision and high IQ, so he rarely takes an ill-advised shot and willing distributes when facing double teams. His notable scoring efforts from this winter include 33 points vs. SCHA and 27 vs. LaSalle.
Kai Shinholster Kai Shinholster 6'5" | SG Penn Charter | 2025 State #133 Nation PA – 6’3” / Penn Charter / K-Low Elite / Shooting Guard: In 2022-23 Shinholster established himself as a high motor, “3 and D” perimeter player. Shinholster is averaging 14 ppg. thanks to a nearly automatic three-point stroke. When he is chased off the arc, Shinholster can use the dribble to get to the cup where he can finish with either hand. If opponents overplay Shinholster, he will cut back door for a catch and lay-in. Shinholster’s jaw dropping performance this season came when he posted 28 points (6 threes) vs. Archbishop Wood. He holds offers from Hofstra, UTEP and Robert Morris.
