Unsigned Seniors – Central Valley

Here's a look at some of the ones who have caught our eye from the Central Valley League.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1738601' first='Liam' last='Spencer'] (2023 Sprague)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Solid shooter/scorer that excels off the catch-and-shoot but can also create a bit off the dribble. Is able to hit contested jumpers at a reasonable rate. Definitely geared more as a scorer but can handle and pass a bit. Aiming for a D-II opportunity but is currently garnering NWAC interest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1458080' first='Brody' last='Roth'] (2023 McNary)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Long, athletic 6-foot-4 wing who has been forced to play more inside for a smaller team. Excels in the mid-range game and can also step out and hit open threes. Uses his length and athleticism effectively on the defensive end as a shot blocker.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='861080' first='Jando' last='Gonzalez'] (2023 McNary)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Experienced and seasoned point guard as a four-year starter. Makes solid decisions with the basketball and is always looking for guys cutting to the basket. Can get hot from three point range and has deep range. Small size, but knows his limitations.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1382422' first='Jabol' last='Balos-Mesey'] (2023 McNary)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Quick combo guard that really pushes the ball up the court. More of a slasher than a shooter, but can finish athletic plays at and around the hoop. Has quick hands as an on-the-ball defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1382407' first='Tommy' last='Slack'] (2023 West Salem)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>All-around combo guard with a diverse offensive game. Can nail threes on the catch-and-shoot or use the dribble to create and hit pull-up jumpers from mid-range. Has improved his ability to finish around the hoop. Can run the point when needed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1096112' first='Jimmy' last='Lathen'] (2023 West Salem)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Strong, well-built forward who has put together a solid senior season. Excels in the mid-range and finishes drives to the basket through contact. Tough rebounder and defender. Also a football player, could be a two-sport standout at the D-III level after serving a 2-year LDS mission.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1256722' first='Charlie' last='Rapp'] (2023 South Salem)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gritty, tough-as-nails, glue guy type of guard. Has deceptive strength which allows him to score over smaller/weaker defenders down low and be a physical defender. Can hit threes but is better from mid-range with his shot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
