Teddy’s Takes: Benet vs DePaul Prep

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the playoffs on the Horizon, the one-loss Benet Redwings took their show to the North Side of Chicago Friday evening for a date with DePaul Prep. The Rams have not had the best season. But they're finally healthy and ready to make another un in the 2A playoffs. Benet would hold on for a tight 47-43 win. But Benet was in control of this game throughout. They dominated on defense and found a solid rhythm on offense. The Redwings stay hot and should have the best odds to win the 4A state championship. He knocked down several open looks from deep early on and found some nice plays at the hoop. He displays decent size for a forward to go along with that. He was the lengthiest player on the court and produced at a high rate on both ends. McElroy finished with 9 points with a couple of tough rebounds and blocks on the defensive end. He's also capable of attacking the hoop with a nice baseline drive early on. He stepped up immensely and gave DePaul a chance to win this game. He knocked down an outside shot and followed it up with a pull-up jumper right after. This cut their deficit in half early on. Chambers displays strong athleticism and can burst to the hoop.
