James was all over the court running the floor on both offense and defense, making hustle plays and scoring the ball at will. Martez finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, pulling down a double-double in the contest and making it look too easy in the post. It was a hard fought game for both teams as the physicality laid a heavy toll on the athletes, but in the end the Cavs took the victory 67-66. Martez will continue this sky high momentum into grassroots/AAU season as he will look to make a name for himself on a big stage.
Scottie was a big time playmaker for his Tompkins team in their round one matchup against Clements. He led the game with a scoring high of 27 points and dished out 7 assists in the 66-56 win and made an immediate impact on both ends of the court. Scottie showed off great precision and accuracy shooting the ball in the midrange and behind the arc as well as demonstrating his ability to finish through contact as well. Guillory will continue to be a big time scoring force for Tompkins as they look to make a statement in a tough region.

Anderson was a huge difference in this round one game for Dawson in their blowout win over Clear Lake. Charles shot over 50 percent from the field, scoring 19 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for a statement-making double double. The big man continues to be a dominant force in the middle for this fast paced group of athletes and will do anything asked of him to make sure his team comes out with the victory each and every contest.
AJ Stephens
AJ Stephens
AJ was a big part of the momentum shifting for his Generals squad in their first round game against the Woodlands. Facing off against collegiate prospect Shey Eberwein Shey Eberwein 6’6″ | CG The Woodlands | 2023 State #279 Nation TX , AJ was tasked with a tough matchup, but held his own down the stretch as MacArthur came away with the clutch 67-60 win to move on to the next round. Stephens scored 20 points on 6/12 from the field and knocked down 7/11 from the foul stripe in a critical matchup. AJ will be hoping to continue to carry this momentum into grassroots season and will look to make a name for himself on a big time program somewhere in the city.

TJ Robinson
TJ came away with a big round one performance for the Klein Oak Panthers against tough opponent Langham Creek. Klein Oak ended up winning the game 56-46 behind 25 impressive points and 12 rebounds from TJ. He shot 5/9 from the field and knocked down several free throws in route to a clutch victory to move on to the next round. Robinson is a big time force underneath the basket for his Panthers squad and made it look too easy on both ends of the court, scoring at will on the offensive side of things and swatting away shots on the defensive end.
