Elite. Stud. Top Tier. Super. Scintillating. Sensational....What other words can we use? Wilcher did it all and then some tonight. An absolute machine on offense, he broke down defenders off the dribble with ease and exploded to the rim with a lightning quick first step, combining power with creativity that only the top players in the nation have. He caused havoc on defense resulting in a number of turnovers and easy RC buckets. Among the top players in the nation for 2023.

CPL is the most under-recruited player in the state. End of story...

The best on ball defender in New Jersey proved it tonight--the length of the floor. He used quick feet, his strong frame and active hands to create turnovers for the Lions and also got involved on the boards at both ends. He picked his spots offensively to contribute points but never forced a bad shot. There are D1 programs in NJ with losing records who would be VERY wise to offer CPL a scholarship--A program changing defender cut from an old school mold that doesn't exist anymore. A throwback to the rugged players of the 1960s and 1970s.

Pichardo, bound for East Stroudsburg, faced the tall task--literally-- of stopping the bigs from RC. He battled to the last minute of the contest at both ends of the floor and finished with a double-double. He has a soft touch on his shot and can elevate. He boxes out well and fights for rebounds. He'll be a contributor in the PSAC.

Michael Jones | G | St. Thomas Aquinas

Duce had a BIG game in defeat for the Trojans, exploding for 21. He was fantastic getting to the rim and has a quick first step. He combined high basketball IQ with athleticism to match Wilcher and the other guards from RC throughout the contest and will be one of the top returning players in the Garden State.

The Elizabeth transfer has proven to be a vital piece of the puzzle in the backcourt and was the steadying force tonight. He was the one to go control the pace when RC needed a player to and return the tempo to the offensive sets in the halfcourt. He was selective on offense with his shots and delivered a balanced performance. He joins CPL among the most under-recruited players in New Jersey.
