Matthew McKay — F — Nicolet
McKay played his tail off tonight. When Nicolet was struggling in the first half, it was McKay who stepped up and scored some timely buckets. The forward’s motor just doesn’t stop. Regardless of the situation, McKay is always playing with 100 percent effort. On multiple occasions, the forward kept possessions alive with his hustle and toughness. He finished well around the rim and played solid defense. Moving forward, expect McKay to play an important role for the Knights.
Logan Zahour Logan Zahour 6'1" | SG Cedarburg | 2025 State WI — G — Cedarburg
Zahour missed a couple of opportunities around the rim that I am sure he would love to have back. But even though he missed a couple of bunnies, I still thought that Zahour played a good game. On the defensive end of the court, the guard is a pest. He isn’t afraid of contact and is always physical with his opponent. Zahour’s anticipation is also very good. He is able to jump passing lanes and create turnovers.
Davion Hannah Davion Hannah 6'5" | SF Nicolet | 2025 State #33 Nation WI — F — Nicolet
Hannah had a tough start to the game. The forward was aggressive early, but his shot wasn’t falling. After a short stint on the bench, Hannah got going. He threw down a monster dunk and slowly got into a rhythm. When Hannah plays, it is easy to see his potential. He is athletic, strong, fast, and skilled. Many traits that college programs look for in a prospect are possessed by Hannah. I don’t think that Tuesday night marked Hannah’s best game of the season. However, he still led his team to a win over a good team.
Jacob Fries Jacob Fries 6'0" | PG Cedarburg | 2023 WI — G — Cedarburg
In a low scoring game, Fries kept Cedarburg within striking distance. The guard knocked down a handful of outside shots and got to the rim with ease. Often, Fries is forced to play the third wheel to Cedarburg’s top scorers. This certainly wasn’t the case tonight. Fries converted on some big shots in Tuesday’s close loss.
Rashaad Davis Rashaad Davis 5'10" | PG Nicolet | 2026 State WI — G — Nicolet
Nicolet got off to a sloppy start. Cedarburg’s defensive pressure got the Knights in trouble early. Later in the game, Davis was the steady hand Nicolet needed. The guard took good care of the ball and opened up the offense for his teammates. With the ball in his hands, Davis is a great slasher and facilitator. He can get downhill and create opportunities for himself or teammates. Davis was a major reason why Nicolet earned a solid win on Tuesday.
Adien Adams — F — Cedarburg
Using his 6-foot-6 frame, Adams did a great job of impacting the game in the paint. I thought that he protected the rim well, grabbed key rebounds, and made a handful of shots around the rim. Come March, Adams is expected to be a key player for Cedarburg. If he plays well, then his team could have a chance to make a deep run.
David Bolden David Bolden 6'0" | PG Nicolet | 2025 State WI — G — Nicolet
Bolden proved that he is capable of stepping up in crunch time. After an up-and-down first half, Bolden got going when it mattered most. He aggressively attacked the rim and was able to convert on some layups. Bolden’s late playmaking helped Nicolet put the game out of reach. Down the stretch, Bolden performed like a lead guard should.
