Dink Pate Dink Pate 6'8" | PG Dallas Pinkston | 2023 State #70 Nation TX – Pinkston High School
With all the talent in Texas, how many have a billboard in their city !? That’s how special Pate is. Standing at six feet – eight inches in the guard position is special. Even more special when he has the skillset of a point guard. Three-level scorer with full confidence in his skillset. Quick shifty dribble moves that leave defenders standing. His elusiveness tends to overshadow how gritty he can be. Pate uses his wingspan to make it harder for opponents to grab the rebound. You can tell he enjoys playing basketball. He has fun playing while competing. A team-first player that creates opportunities for teammates to knock down open shots. There is a reason he played one year at Prolific Prep. We are witnessing a very special talent. The poise he contains, and how he handles pressure at a young age with such grace.
Markece Young Markece Young 6'5" | SG South Grand Prairie | 2025 State TX – South Grand Prairie
Young put on his hard hat and goes to work; your blue collar that gets it done the physical way. Finish with a soft touch around the rim. A wing player that can operate on the block at six feet – four inches power through for the and-one. A player that operates in the mid-range high post, whether off the jab or the dribble, Young can get to the basket. His body is solid enough to withstand contact in the air. Already have a power five offer from Mississippi State. Shooting is the aspect that will need work. Young does have a nice-looking form. Creating space to get his shot off in the mid-range.
Orlando Horton Orlando Horton PG Clear Falls | 2023 TX Jr. – Clear Falls
Horton brings a big spark to your offense with his scoring and playmaking ability. He can truly show how tricky he can be in transition. Horton is a competitor who doesn’t shy away from any challenge. The limitless paint touches he gets create open shots of others. Vocal when directing the offense and getting players in their spots. Know the angle to finish at the rim over taller defenders. One of the quickest with the ball in his hands. Create space to get his shot off with the dribble. When he gets hot from three it’s a long night for his defender.
Kai’ree Murray Kai’ree Murray 6'2" | CG Fort Bend Bush | 2023 State TX – George Bush High School
Murray brings energy on both ends of the floor. Natural leadership skills who will communicate with teammates. He flies all around the court. Murray is known for flying at the rim, using his athletic ability to run and contest open shots. Use the body to shield the defender from stealing the ball, but is getting more moves in his bag. HIs ability to knock down open shots is underrated but he has a touch in the mid-range. He’ll do all the small things while making the big plays on offense. His IQ in the game has grown significantly since last year. Probably made the biggest jump in rankings in the past year.
Keithon Leach – Dickinson High School
Leach is a big energy source for the Gators at the point guard position. Sub six-foot guard that plays above his height. Might have to call him, “scrappy doo” cause of the toughness he plays with. Quick and shifty with his dribble moves. You can tell he put the time in the weight room. The ball of energy can look like a blur running up the court. Leach has moves dribbling full-court, and half-court moves.
Sebastian Williams-Adams Sebastian Williams-Adams 6'8" | PF St. John's | 2025 State #35 Nation TX – St. John’s School
The 23rd prospect in the nation is averaging 20.8 points per game on 48% shooting along with 7.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. This man runs like a horse out of his racing stable in transition. The class of 2025 recruit uses his crossover or in-n-out dribble to get by defenders in transition for an easy bucket. They have him listed as a point guard/power forward listed on their MaxPreps roster. Standing at six feet-seven inches with a nice frame already. He can be a load to handle with the hustle he plays with. Use his strength and quickness as an advantage on both ends of the floor. Have a nice touch on his jump shots. Cool, calm, and collected player.
Chris McDermott Chris McDermott 6'7" | SF Booker T. Washington | 2024 State #159 Nation TX – Houston Booker T. Washington High School
McDermott is the unstoppable force for the Eagles that nobody in his district has an answer for. The agility on the perimeter and post causes a mismatch against almost any opponent. Averaging a double-double two years now, Mcdermott is 16th in the state for rebounds grabbing 12 per game and three blocks per game, along with 18 points per game. His instincts to time his jump for blocking shots seem natural posting three blocks per game.
