A busy several weeks of rankings updates culminated at Prep Hoops Indiana headquarters on Monday afternoon with the release of our Class of 2023 Prospect Rankings. There were several changes within our Top 200 prospects including several new names to the rankings and other players who saw large jumps. We also still have an additional Watch List of over 100 prospects who deserve recognition around the state of Indiana. In this article we will be taking a look at part one of a two-part series highlighting the top new names in the recent rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1393265' first='Chase' last='Bachelor'] (Prairie Heights H.S.): This 6'4" athletic wing can flat out put the ball in the basket. Bachelor has been one of the state's leading scorers as a senior averaging 20.9 points per game to go along with 5.9 rebounds and shooting an impressive 53% from the field. He plays through contact well and is an excellent finisher at the end of his drives. Definitely a prospect for local small college programs to take a look at here as the season winds down. Debuts at #133 in the Class of 2023.

[player_tooltip player_id='1557223' first='Peter' last='Combs'] (Bloomfield H.S.): If you are a Division III program that is still looking for size in the Class of 2023 stop reading this article and go get in touch with this Bloomfield product. Combs is a 6'6" left-handed post player with excellent footwork, a soft touch over his right shoulder, and strong rebounding capability. He is the anchor for the #1 team in Class 1A and just had a huge 20+ point double-double performance in a win over defending state champion North Daviess. He is now ranked #97 in the senior class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1784266' first='Armoni' last='Gonzalez'] (Lake Station H.S.): Lake Station has quietly put together a 16-1 record in no small part due to the outstanding playmaking ability of this prospect. Gonzalez leads the team with 17.8 points per game, 3.2 assists, and 4.1 steals per game. He is a talented two-way guard that gets to the basket consistently off of the dribble and has a nice mid-range pull-up game. Definitely a prospect up north for small college programs to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='1252307' first='Arlondo' last='Hall'] (Tindley H.S.): Hall has started to attract a good amount of small college attention while putting up big numbers at Tindley. The 5'8" point guard is a dynamic playmaker averaging 21.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while knocking in over 60 three-pointers already on the season in just 15 games. He has great burst with the ball in his hands and can clearly create his own shot. Absolutely one to consider for Division III programs in need of some playmaking in the 2023 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1556354' first='Andre' last='Ozlowski'] (University H.S.): A recent DePaul commit, Ozlowski broke into our rankings for the first time as a consistent interior presence for the 16-1 University Trailblazers. Despite battling an injury earlier in the season, the 6'5" forward is averaging 11.9 points and a team-best 4.9 rebounds per game for one of the best Class 2A programs in the state. Look for his athleticism, mobility, and overall physical traits allow him to transition quite well to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='868236' first='Qushawn' last='Ware'] (Indianapolis Metropolitan H.S.): After starting his career at Crispus Attucks as one of the top prospects in the class, this athletic 6'4" wing has reemerged at Indianapolis Metropolitan for his senior season. He is averaging 15.4 points per game to go along with 6.5 rebounds and is a really intriguing under-the-radar prospect. It would be really interesting to see where he could end up after a year of prep school or going the junior college route. Still a very talented prospect who is back in the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 100 now.
