6A Dark Horse Teams

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the playoffs around the corner seeding is going to be what it is and teams will need to play who is in-front of them. We will list a few teams that could be dark horse teams that could make a run or upset a team that are not in the top tier or teams you expect to make a run. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Pleasant Grove</strong> (9-11)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Vikings were once expected to be one of the better teams in the state because of the players they had coming back and the addition of 6'11 F [player_tooltip player_id='969630' first='Bron' last='Roberts']. Things haven't been as planned as the Vikings have struggled and are currently 9-10. The way their schedule is looking they will have a hard time getting to .500. In the past few games we have been getting call son Bron as he has been playing well and D1 coaches are watching. Isaac Garret is a tough cover as he can go inside and out. On the bench they could use [player_tooltip player_id='969251' first='Colby' last='Dean'] who also has size. The point guard position has been a big hole this year as injuries have really hit the Vikings. If [player_tooltip player_id='934022' first='Michael' last='Mitton'] is back they have a shot and they will need the youngster [player_tooltip player_id='1579163' first='Austin' last='Simon'] as well. One thing is for sure, playing them in the first round is going to be brutal. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Bingham (8-11)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bingham is another team that will have a hard time getting to .500 as they have struggled this year but things are looking up and confidence is high as they beat Copper Hills. The player that has looked good as of late has been [player_tooltip player_id='1278436' first='Luke' last='West'], he is getting touches and they have let him have some freedom and it is paying off. There have been times when he has been the best player on the court. Impressive play from [player_tooltip player_id='1116156' first='Brayden' last='Whitehead'] has been roaming the paint and his rim protecting skills will be needed to make a run here at the end of region and in the playoffs. [player_tooltip player_id='1206952' first='KJ' last='Jenson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1115964' first='Stockton' last='Tueller'] have been great glue guy players as has [player_tooltip player_id='1199559' first='Carson' last='Bagley']. This team plays defense and they have a lot of bodies they can throw at you. With some big wins in Las Vegas and against Region 4 teams do not look past them. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Farmington (12-6)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Not a bad overall record but they are 4-4 in region play and could slide a bit more before the season is over. [player_tooltip player_id='1057024' first='Paul' last='Beattie'] is a force as a stretch big and [player_tooltip player_id='1207031' first='Cole' last='Johnson'] has been playing well. Another player that has been really good this yer for Farmington has been [player_tooltip player_id='1548403' first='Jayden' last='Haskell']. Farmington does have size to compete as [player_tooltip player_id='1548402' first='Ethan' last='Atkinson'] has been showing that he belongs on the floor and he can produce.
