[player_tooltip player_id='1130733' first='Tahj' last='Roots'] (5'11 | Bossier)

Roots has transformed himself into one of the better scoring point guards in the state this season. His ability to hit the floater in the lane coupled with his ability to make shots beyond the arc has made him a great two way player. He already frustrates guards on the defensive end. His ability to run the show and be a menace on defense makes him one of the better players in this district.

[player_tooltip player_id='1127251' first='Decedric' last='Webb'] (6'5" | Huntington)

Webb is one of those physical specimens that rarely comes around in the city. He can out jump most bigs, he can defend multiple positions, and he can score in the half court and transition. His ability to play as a big or a wing makes him a threat in multiple positions on the court. Webb is a player who can dominate a game on both ends of the floor and is another stalwart in district 1-4A.

Jayden Easter (6'5" | BTW-S'port)

The Booker T. junior is becoming a more versatile player every time he touches the floor. He is a shot blocking forward who is becoming more of an offensive threat this season. Easter has managed to make jumpers from 10 to 14 feet and he is one of the best rebounders in the area. His play on both ends of the floor makes him indispensable for a Lion team who is competing in Division II Select.

[player_tooltip player_id='1130811' first='Je'Cal' last='Bryant'] (6'4" | Evangel)

Bryant is a wing who can defend multiple positions and play multiple offensive positions. He is a wing who is very good at handling the rock and is an outstanding spot up shooter. His length and athleticism is what makes him a threat from anywhere on the floor. Bryant can also protect the rim as well as switch onto every perimeter player. He is a player with unlimited potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='970107' first='Lakavin' last='Thomas'] (6'2" | Bossier)

The lefty guard from Bossier is an athletic guard who can get downhill with the best guards around. He loves to go left and often finds a way to finish with his dominant hand more times than not. Thomas has elite leaping ability that helps him when he gets to the rim or when he takes short jumpers in the lane. He is one of the best players in this district and has the championship pedigree to prove it.

[player_tooltip player_id='970139' first='Chris' last='Carpenter'] (5'10" | Huntington)

Carpenter is one of the better point guards in the state and is one of the top three in the district. His ability to get his shot off for his size is next level talent. Carpenter's passing ability is at a high level as well. He passes people open and finds players in stride often. Carpenter is as gifted a guard as I have seen and he definitely helps the Raiders chances in this district.

[player_tooltip player_id='1381591' first='Maurea' last='Hudson'] (6'3" | Northwood)

Hudson is a talented guard who is molding into a player who can do everything. Couple that with his leaping ability and he is a player who is hard to stop on the offensive end. Hudson is still developing consistency with his jumper. However, when he gets in the paint, he is almost guaranteed to finish. Hudson is not the biggest guard but he makes his mark on both ends. He is a key to Northwood making the playoffs this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1347260' first='Chris' last='Shiflett Jr']. (5'9" | Evangel)

Shiflett is as complete a guard there is. He is a sophomore who plays on a level of maturity that is way above his age. He can play the point and see everything on the floor. As an off guard, he is excellent at spotting up. Whether he is running the offense or providing it, Shiflett is a high basketball IQ player who makes his teammates better. Look for him to be a difference maker in the Evangel playoff push.
