Qudire Bennett Qudire Bennett 6'4" | SF Plymouth Whitemash | 2023 State PA – 6’4″/ Senior / Plymouth Whitemarsh / L&L Running Rebels / Wing: Over the last week Bennett scored 24 points (4 threes) vs. Upper Moreland and 18 points against Methacton. During the victory over Upper Moreland, Bennett also surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his high school career. Bennett is a 3-level scorer who has the physicality and moves to play bully ball against smaller defenders. He is averaging 18 points per game and has recorded two 30 point games this season. Somehow this unique prospect remains uncommitted.
Dylan Blair Dylan Blair 5'10" | PG Downingtown West | 2023 State PA – 5’11” / Senior / Downingtown West / East Coast Cyclones / Point Guard: Because of his speed, filthy handles, change of direction skills and good decision making, Blair (Army commit) is a premier transition guard. Additionally, Blair shoots threes at a high clip. This past week all these assets were on display, as Blair racked up 27 points (2 threes) in a win over cross-town rival Downingtown East. He then dropped another 27-points (4 triples) to go along with 8 dimes on West Chester East. Blair and D-West won that game too.
Matt Christian Matt Christian 6'3" | CG Methacton | 2023 State PA – 6’3” / Senior / Methacton / Eastern PA Elite / Shooting Guard: Prior to the 2022-23 season we noted that Christian would be ascending to the No. 1 scoring option for Methacton. So far, Christian (15 ppg.; 50 3PM) has proved he can handle that role. This high IQ athlete with a large wingspan can score the rock at all 3-levels. His ability to shoot over double teams makes him extremely difficult to defend. In his most recent three game stretch, Christian averaged 20 points per night on the strength of 4.6 treys per contest. Included in this run of stellar play was a 33-point (7 made threes) performance during a rout of Upper Perkiomen.
Thomas Haugh Thomas Haugh 6'9" | SF Perkiomen School | 2023 State #117 Nation PA – 6’9” / Senior / Perkiomen School / We R1 UAA / Wing: Haugh is committed to Florida and the Gators are getting a “freak” athlete who possesses point guard handles, drains threes, and catches lobs in transition. As a bonus, he can score on the interior and rebound (at both ends) like a power forward. Over his last three games, Haugh averaged 21 points per contest. Part of this impressive stretch was a 24-point outing in Perkiomen’s win over national powerhouse OSL (NY).
Will Riley – 6’7” / Sophomore / Phelps School / UPlay Canada / Wing: Riley proved to us this past summer that he is a nearly unstoppable scoring wing. The latest evidence of that fact was his jaw dropping 42-point effort in a win over Lawrenceville Prep (NJ). Riley runs like a deer, owns serious hops as well as tight handles. So, he excels in transition. Additionally, Riley can shoot the three from anywhere on the floor. This native of Canada is drawing attention from a slew of “Power 5” programs.
Connor Shanahan Connor Shanahan 5'11" | SG Downingtown East | 2023 State PA – 5’11” / Senior / Downingtown East / Gibbs Elite / Shooting Guard: This is back-to-back weeks that Shanahan has appeared in this post. Two weeks ago, Shanahan posted a three-game span where he averaged 29.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest. Shanahan started this past week with a 31-point effort vs. archrival Downingtown West. For an encore, this creative off the dribble finisher with a consistent 3-point shot hung a 56-burger on Oxford. Shanahan scored 40 points in the first half of that game. By the way, D-East led Oxford 40-29 at halftime. That is not a misprint. Shanahan accounted for all 40 of his team’s first half points.
