Every Monday of the high school basketball season we will release our Prep Hoops Indiana Class-by-Class Rankings as well statewide “unclassed” rankings. With six weeks in the books, let’s dive on in to how things shake out to begin week seven. Also, from all of us here at Prep Hoops Indiana, Happy New Year!!!

Evansville Christian has another big game coming up this week against Bloomfield on Friday. If Bloomfield can knock off the Eagles they will likely take over the #1 spot.
This poll continues to be difficult to fill out with 10 deserving teams. Northeast Debois makes their debut mostly because of the quality of their losses. Have only lost to Evansville Christian, Orleans, and Bloomfield.
Fountain Central hands in the Top 10 despite two losses because so many of these 1A teams keep losing. Almost knocking off Carroll (Flora) is an impressive loss as well.

9. Southwestern (Hanover)

10. Tipton

The Top 4 remains intact here in Class 2A. Those teams are all really, really good. Linton-Stockton probably could make a case for moving up after winning the Wabash Valley Classic, but just not a ton of top competition there.
Providence moves up due to Eastern Hancock losing to Tindley, Carroll (Flora) losing to Tipton, and South Spencer losing to Booneville.
Three new faces in the Top 10 including a pair of still undefeated teams.

Mishawaka Marian remains #1 with an impressive trip to Homestead’s Tournament. They defeated Fishers in overtime, beat Bishop Dwenger and Valparaiso, then fell to host Homestead in overtime.
NorthWood jumps North Daviess after knocking them off 58-53 at the Hall of Fame Classic.
It looks like South Bend Washington’s ugly loss to John Glenn was a fluke. They are back in the Top 10 after a couple of solid victories.

10. Noblesville

#8
The easiest decision in the state every week is putting Ben Davis at #1 in Class 4A followed by Cathedral at #2.
Penn hangs in at #3 after losing to Ben Davis. They played with them for most of the game and looked competitive. They deserve to be #3.
Holiday Tournaments created a TON of shakeup in 4A. Teams picked up good wins followed by a loss. Teams like Hammond Central, Lawrence North, and New Palestine, have earned a spot in the Top 10 by continuing to win.
