Lide has always been a talented young player, and this season he’s beginning to put it together. The scoring PG, has provided a suprising Rancho squad with outside shooting and a legitimate scoring threat every night. His three point ability has allowed the Rams to have one of the top inside outside punches in the city, with the combination of him and junior big man RJ Whittle. Lide’s best game to date may have been his 31 point effort vs Gallup.
Wohl has provided the second ranked Skyhawks with a much need boost on both ends of the ball. He’s a tough hard nose player that’s not afraid to mix it up. Silverado is a balanced team, so his 8 points per game makes him one of their primary scorers. His best game of the year, was his 4 three point performance against Shadow Ridge.
Highlights
It’s been a bit of an up and down season for Sims, but when he’s been good, he’s been really good. Sims has been one of the top thieves in the city, using good instincts, and quickness to play the passing lanes, and get steals. He’s a bouncy athlete that has shown the ability to play above the rim. His best game has probably been his 16 point 6 rebound 3 steal performance against Wooster.
Barney may be the biggest breakout player of the season. The Green Valley star has been a consistent scoring and rebounding machine. He’s a versatile player that has been effective on the offensive glass, as well as being the roller in P&R action. He’s had a lot of strong games, and is one of the state’s leaders in double – double’s but perhaps his best game was his 16 point 4 rebound performance against #7 ranked Centennial.
Highlights
It’s not simply the numbers, but Ghallab has also shown improvment in his frame and physical appearance. The numbers are also a big part of it, as the big fellow has looked dominate so far this season, putting up monster numbers, averaging an 18 and 17 double double. His 29 point 26 rebound game agasint Green Valley may be the most dominating game anyone in the state has had this season.
