Dayvon Demby | guard | Herndon (VA)
Demby is an explosive and skilled guard who leads a dynamic Hornets attack. He is a talented creator who scores in bunches and gets open shots for his teammates.
Preston Kuhn | guard | Whitman (MD)
Kuhn is first and foremost a competitor. Just look at how active he is on defense. That’s all the evidence you need. Although he takes no plays off, Kuhn can also be the primary initiator of an offense. He has definitely factored into the Vikes’ 9-2 start.
Abdul Mohamed | wing | Yorktown (VA)
Mohamed is an important glue guy for the 9-2 Patriots. He can be menacing at the top of the press in part because of his length. Mohamed also helps clean the glass and routinely scores in double figures.
Corey Schaeffer Jr. | forward | Woodgrove (VA)
When we watched Woodgrove, their offense sensibly emphasized getting Schaeffer touches. A physically-gifted and powerful forward, he is quick for his size and has a knack for putting the ball in the basket.
Jack West | guard | Loudoun County (VA)
West is surely one of the better bucket-getters we observed during the early part of the season. He can carry an offense with his pure jump shot.
Abdullahi Yassin | wing | Robinson (VA)
Yassin is a jack-of-all-trades for the Rams. He is versatile in that he can score 12 to 17 points per game while grabbing a minimum of 5 rebounds and handing out at least a couple of assists per contest.
