I personally took in 42 games from York, Hinsdale Central, Pekin, Collinsville, Kankakee, State Farm, and Centralia. Wanted to examine some of the best emerging prospects I saw including here in Holiday Tournaments: New Underclassmen Names!
Dominic Seaney (Glenbard West – 2025)
Liked what we saw from this 6’4” wing from Glenbard West. Very good spot up shooter hitting four triples. Shooters with size always have value!
Wes Gudeman Wes Gudeman 6'3" | SF Morton | 2025 State IL (Morton – 2025)
Gudeman dropped 25 points in an opening round victory for Morton at the Pekin Tournament. At 6’4” this lefty two guard has a crafty scoring game where he finished with nifty slashes in the paint over and over again. Got to the line at a high clip where he regularly converted!
Anton Strelnikov (Lake Zurich – 2025)
Eye opening performance from this 6’6” big man from Lake Zurich as he recorded 23 points against Springfield Lanphier at Pekin. High points rebounds, seals in the post, spin moves, and converts out of the dunker spot. Tough around the hoop.
Jayden Tyler (Homewood Flossmoor – 2025)
The 6’0” combo guard showed flashes as a shooter and burst in the open floor.
Drew Winslow (Triad – 2025)
Winslow had a huge outing at Collinsville overall particularly in their opening round loss to Collierville. Legit size at 6’5” with good strength for a wing. Used his frame to get downhill on straight line takes. Aggressive off the bounce and was very good in transition scoring 24 points.
Al Brooks Jr (Hansberry – 2025)
Got my first look at the 2025 6’6” small forward who is really emerging in the sophomore class. Plus athlete that impacts the game across the board. Rebounds really well for a wing and was excellent in transition. Plays above the rim.
Ikee Brooks (Hansberry – 2025)
Brooks is a point guard that has burst getting to the rim and finishes with acrobatics. Crisp passer that rebounds well for a guard.
David Riley (Champaign Central – 2025)
Strong bodied combo guard looks the part with his size and build. Solid passer and can play both on and off the ball.
Achillies Anderson (Marist – 2025)
Anderson is a strong bodied 6’4” wing that was an x-factor player for Marist always being around the ball and rebounding well while scoring 7 points in the semis.
Adoni Vassilakis (Marist – 2026)
We had seen this freshman a bit previously, but his game against Evanston was the most impressive we have seen him. Scoring 11 points as a freshman in the Centralia semis vs Evanston is a big deal. Lefty that brings creativity as a scorer off the bounce, can shoot it, and has a good passing feel.
Josh Abushanab (Glenbard North – 2026)
Very impressed with our first look at this small forward in a high school setting. The 6’4” forward brings length and athleticism to both ends of the court. Hit a couple threes, crashed the offensive glass, and finished with athleticism in the paint for 15 points in their first game at York.
Amir Danforth (Rockford Auburn – 2026)
Up and coming prospect out of Rockford is a name we had heard of but got our first look at. Guard that plays taller than his height with his long arms. Spot up shooter with crafty handle
