Continue ReadingFreshman shows flashes of his high upside. He’s on the smaller side but very quick. His attention to detail on defense will need to improve as it will with more reps. Diggy does a good job of seeking contact on drives and finishing And-1s.
Physical bowling ball guard. Three-sport standout loves to get downhill and throw his weight around. Has great zip on his passes. Lefty is a quality three-point shooter.
Lightning quick in transition. Springy bounce. Can come from behind to block shots. Has a quality floor game contributing across the stat sheet.
The Reinhardt-signee’s floor game was impressive as he tallied 14 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 6 steals and 1 block. The lefty took a few shots that were too far out of his range but his aggressive style of play especially on defense made up for any miscues. His length on defense and ability to anticipate plays makes him an effective disruptor.
OB is one of the state’s best at getting downhill. He’s an explosive athlete with strength to barrel through the defense and score at the rim. He went 10-12 from the line as he finished with 18 points before fouling out vs. Buford. Continuing to mix in his mid-range game will help his development take off. Late in the game he proved he could beat his man and stop short to pull-up from 10-feet.
While it may be too early to say a star was born on Thursday night, Torre Costin Torre Costin 5’8″ | PG Buford | 2026 State GA definitely stamped himself as a player to watch over the next four years with his play vs. Carrollton. Costin was a gamechanger netting three threes off the bench to log 13 points but maybe most importantly, fouled OB Watkins out of the game by moving his feet and drawing a charge late in the fourth quarter. Costin plays with great confidence. He’s a lethal shooter and has crafty wiggle when getting to the rim. Stay tuned.
