The first quarter got underway with a stepback 3 from [player_tooltip player_id='1119156' first='Deywilk' last='Tavarez'] (6'3 G ‘23). With Bahsil Laster (6'5 G ‘24) at the point, ANC immediately went to their 1-3-1 zone to counter Westtown's size advantage. But [player_tooltip player_id='1369805' first='Jayden' last='Kelsey'] (6'7 G ‘25), [player_tooltip player_id='1477774' first='Malik' last='Rasul'] (6'8 F ‘24), and [player_tooltip player_id='1393685' first='Seyphon' last='Triplett'] were each able to cash in threes for the Moose. Whatever they didn't make, Rasul and [player_tooltip player_id='1173984' first='Matt' last='Gilhool'] (6'10 F/C ‘24) cleaned up, with Gilhool getting a couple putbacks. Nolan Waldon (6'0 G ‘24) returned the favor for the Lions with 11 points on three triples of his own.

With [player_tooltip player_id='1608494' first='Dior' last='Carter'] (6'3 W ‘26) cutting and diving to the rim for 8 points, ANC's second quarter success came inside. They kept up the pressure on defense, but they couldn't keep Westtown off the boards. The Moose got second-chance points - led by Rasul's work on the glass - and spread the love around with [player_tooltip player_id='1383005' first='Cameron' last='Wallace'] (6'5 W ‘25) getting on the scoreboard, thanks to his off-ball movement, and Triplett getting another 4 points.

In the third, Jayden Forsythe (6'4 G ‘25) came alive for Westtown. He knocked down a pull up, then a catch-and-shoot three, and Kelsey added another, getting ANC out of their zone. Forsythe also had some finesse finishes in the quarter. ANC began picking up three-quarter court before dropping back into their man-defense. They forced turnovers and rebounded as a team, then got out in transition. Jarell Keel (6'2 G ‘23) had his second block of the game and stepped on offense. Their ball-movement carried them as their guards created each other. Tavarez's jumper started falling again and Laster pulled up for one too.

Points were hard to come by in the final quarter of action. Westtown was short-handed but still had enough length to bother ANC and get stops. On the other hand, the Lions kept them off-balance by switching back-and-forth between their 1-3-1 and man. Carter had four big rebounds, including two on offense, and four more points as the Lions put the game away.
