De Smet | 2023
State
SD
– 6’10 C 2023 – De Smet – Damon was a beast in the paint, putting in a game-high 27 points. He finished at a high rate and was powering through contact to score the ball. Played with a constant motor and played close to the hoop to earn some points as well. Wilkinson did everything he could to compete with a very good and deep Sioux Valley team. The game was closer than the final score indicates.
Kasen Janssen Kasen Janssen 6'4" | SF De Smet | 2023 State SD – 6’5 Wing 2023 – The Senior wing stands out with his length and ability to play on a wing away from the hoop. Has a jumper and solid enough skills. Doesn’t put the ball on the floor a ton but is smart with his decision making with the ball. 10 points in this game.
Alec Squires Alec Squires 6'10" Sioux Valley | 2024 SD – 6’10 PF/C 2023 – Sioux Valley – Only scored 4 points but the SDSU commit still made a major impact on the game with 12 rebounds and 7 blocks. A good athlete and mover at his long 6’10 frame.

Sioux Valley | 2023
State
SD
– 6’1 G 2023 – Sioux Valley – Vincent is a major offensive threat and offense-creator. He doesn’t need a screen to get his shot off. Has the skills with the ball and quickness to get his shot off whenever he’d like. Has the ability to score and create in any way you can possibly imagine think of. Well-rounded skill set. Hit a dagger three with a minute to go in the game to put his team up five points. The ultra-talented guard poured in 25 points. Currently a top 5 prospect in the South Dakota 2023 class.

Sioux Valley | 2025
State
SD
– 6’2 G 2025 – Sioux Valley – Hit a big three in the corner to put Sioux Valley up two points with three minutes to go. Top 10 prospect in the South Dakota 2025 class.
Luke Sheppard Luke Sheppard 6'4" | SF Flandreau | 2026 State SD – 6’4 G/Wing/F 2026 – Flandreau – The 2026 prospect is a starter for Flandreau and is a heck of an athlete. Showed the ability to play end-to-end and attack with quickness off the dribble. Can get up and down the court in a hurry. Great length, athleticism, and an athletic frame that looks like could put on some lean muscle. Really like this prospect and is definitely an up-and-comer to watch in the state of South Dakota. Pure definition of versatility and a slashing playmaker.
Paul Parsley Paul Parsley 6'2" | SG Flandreau | 2025 State SD – 6’2 G 2025 – Flandreau – Parsley has a good athletic profile as a young guard with solid size, skills, and athleticism. A very good and sound defender that will stay and challenge his individual matchup. Often likes to attack the lane with either hand, to become a scorer or passer in the lane. Ability to hit the mid-range floater shot. Top 15 in the SD 2025 class and college-level prospect.
Ryan Krog Ryan Krog 6'1" | SF Elkton-Lake Benton | 2023 State SD – 6’1 G 2023 – Elkton-Lake Benton – Krog is a scorer and has a scorer’s mentality from all areas of the court. Shoots the three, goes off the dribble, using his thicker frame and ball-handling to be a threat. A floater game to get his shot off against size in the paint. Breaks down his defender easily by continuing his dribble and ball-handling sequences.

Deuel | 2024
SD
– 6’1 G 2024 – Deuel – A very smooth guard with the ball and feel for the game and confidence. A handle on the ball, where he can make combo moves and break down his defender. A high-level passer that showed to make the difficult and skilled passes in the Cardinals’ win. Had some very athletic left-handed finishes at the rim for perfect swishes off the glass.
Brayden Simon – 6’0 G 2023 – Deuel – Simon has an overall skillset with no glaring weaknesses to his game. Can shoot the ball cleanly from three and did a good job finishing at the hoop in transition.
Gavin Benck Gavin Benck 6'2" | PF Deuel | 2023 State SD – 6’2 F 2023 – Deuel – Gavin had a very active game and stood out with his speed and effort on the court. Ran the floor very hard and made a ton of hustle plays. Rebounded both defensively and offensively, getting O-boards and finishing for two.
Much of the Hamlin vs Dell Rapids game wasn’t available online like I had hoped. But there’s a few prospects I wanted to mention and some stats I was able to find.
