Who were some of the players we were introduced to at the Crossover Classic? Prep Hoops runs you through names now!

Mason Gratton of Hawley (6'2 Sr). Mason might have played as hard as anybody on the floor. The Hawley vs Annandale game was a struggle but Mason was a player that I thought really helped put Hawley ahead just a bit, He made 5 of 6 foul shots, scored on three of his five attempts at the cup, and defended hard.

Cole Cross of Cass Lake-Bena (6'3 Sr). Cross is the Panther worker off the bench and he did a really nice job of defending around the basket but also cutting off angles on ball screens. Cross had a late game cut to score and three that were crucial to the Panther win. He scored ten points for the game.

Lane Dilly of Henning (5'11 Jr). When it came to toughness of rebounding, getting to space on screens, setting screens, and cutting off guys physically, that as Lane. He grabbed nine rebounds for Henning plus he made both shots he took and five of six foul shots he took for his total of ten points. Missed a double-double by a board.

Alex Ohm of Perham (5'9 Sr). With Thompson and Sorenson limited with fouls the Yellowjackets needed another player to step up and create some offense, and Ohm did just that. He handled, Alex knocked out two threes, he created shots for others on his way to four assists, and Ohm made all 11 foul shots for the winners. Ohm's clutch foul shooting made sure that Fergus Falls couldn't overcome the late game lead.

Rocco Paulson of Duluth East (6'8 Sr). Rocco's low post position has led to a number of wide open post entry passes which has really helped opened the Greyhounds offense this year. Today his biggest value was the ten rebounds he provided as well as the post defense on [player_tooltip player_id='1139197' first='Adam' last='Jenkins'] which for 70 percent of the game was really good. Jenkins started great but Paulson did a very good job as he got comfortable with the action.

Zach Theis of Fosston (6'1 Sr). Theis was the Fosston player who really broke the game open. Foston ran great stuff that forced the Nevis defense to work hard and every time they got deep in a possession and kicked to Theis the defense had a hard time recovering. And with Theis knocking out four threes and scoring 15 points it was too much for Nevis to cover. He also had a game high seven rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='962265' first='Tanner' last='Tollerud'] of Pelican Rapids (6'2 Sr). I really like everything that Tanner brings to the court. He is a trusted defender and holds his ground at all times. Strong wing that makes the right reads and forces nothing. Grabbed ten rebounds and made the right pass every time totalling five assists. They call guys like Tanner a 5th starter which is a good thing because he defenders, he boards, he moves the ball within the offense the right way 19 times times out of 20, and when he gets chances, he finishes.

Nick Walter of Annandale (5'11 jr). In all honesty, Nick was about the only player in the Annandale versus Hawley game who I though, played a solid to good game. He made four threes, did some steady defensive things, rebounded from his guard spot and had a game high three assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1434054' first='Dylan' last='Zimmerman'] of Moorhead (6'5 Jr). Dylan is not really a new name but I wanted to highlight him as I think he could be a new prospect to keep an eye on. Zimmerman has good skills at his size that give the impression of a player that can shoot it from distance (two threes), score at the cup off the attack (the rest of his 13) and do it in a functional, intelligent half court offense. Zimmerman also had an explosive drive rising up with more bounce than I expected and nearly brought the house down. He's an athletic wing as well.
