Here are the top five standouts from tonight’s matchup.
Knaggs was the primary floor general and scorer for the Bloodhounds once again and put on another impressive performance following the Polk Hoops Shootout. The 6’1, 180-pound senior guard battled through the second half 2-3 zone adjustments by pushing the tempo and getting teammates active. Knaggs has an improved jump shot and he’s solid from the free throw line which makes him dangerous when driving to the bucket. I’ll be paying close attention to Knaggs and his ongoing recruitment.
Turner simply dominates the paint at the high school level and actually displayed impressive dribbling skills to get to the foul line or finish at the rim. He also showed off his sneaky vision with good passes to the block for open layup opportunities. Turner is an interesting prospect in that he has plenty of room to develop his game but has limited competition in the area because of his size.
Vann Osman

I wasn’t too familiar with Osman’s game prior to the game but the junior guard pushed the floor throughout the matchup and played with a high motor. Filled in as a second scoring threat for Sessoms who dealt with tough defense from the Bloodhound’s guards.
Carter Cuff

The 6’3 junior forward was a solid third scoring threat for Auburndale. He’s a shifty guard with a twitchy layup package that can sneak behind the defense for easy layups. He had a good game tonight and during the Polk Hoops tournament, thus earning his name on tonight’s standout list.
