Taylor is a very high level player on a loaded Brewster Academy team. Not many players have the combination of size, skill and athleticism that Taylor has. He is a 6-9 forward, who excels in transition. He had multiple plays where he got a rebound and took it coast to coast for the throw down dunk or finish. He is so mobile for his size and length. His athleticism and length allows him to guard multiple positions on defense, and force many turnovers, and also be a good shot blocker. Taylor has an improving shot. The playmaker is a must watch player, and is committed to Florida State.
I really liked what I saw from Luka against Worcester Academy. He may be a bit under sized, but that didn’t seem to effect him. He is very good at creating separation. He always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. He made many tough finishes at the rim, and made great reads on the defense to set his teammates up. He doesn’t try to do too much, and just plays his game. He really understands the game well. He controls the pace of the game and is a good decision maker. He even had a few rebounds in the game as well. I think he has the potential to play the division 1 college level.
Highlights
The 6-7 wing Gavin Griffiths Gavin Griffiths 6’7″ | SF Kingswood-Oxford | 2023 State #82 Nation NLG is a ESPN Ranked top 40 player in his class. What really impressed was his ability to play the guard position at 6-7. He showed his ball handling and playmaking skills when pushing the ball up the floor. He also showed his ability to consistently knock down shots, from multiple areas of the floor. He has a really good mix of an inside and out game. He has great touch around the rim, and is a high level playmaker. Another must see player from this past weekend with a very high ceiling.
Kayvaughn Mulready, Position G/F, HT 6,6, High School Worcester Academy, Class 2024,
I was really impressed with what I saw from Mulready this past weekend. He proved to me he is a power 5 division 1 prospect. He is an excellent shot maker. In the game Friday against the Newman school, he finished with 29 points, and 5 three pointers made. What was most impressive was how efficient he was. He shot at such a high percentage and in the first half it looked like he couldn’t miss. He has the built to play at the next level, and is very athletic. He had a huge fast break dunk in the second half of the game as well. He is a versatile player, and a threat to score from all areas of the floor. He recently picked up an offer from Texas A and M, and I expect many more offers for Mulready. Another player with a very high ceiling from the weekend.
