They blew out the defending state champs. Prep Hoops Wisconsin takes a look at some prospect standouts from Tuesday night’s game:
Landon Key Landon Key 6'4" | SF Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State WI — SF — Wisconsin Lutheran
Key’s stock continues to rise. Currently ranked just outside of the top 50 in Wisconsin’s 2023 class, expect the small forward to rise in the next rankings update. In Tuesday’s win, Key was able to post 16 points, leading his squad in scoring. I was really impressed by the SF’s shooting in the second half. He made several key threes to extend Lutheran’s lead.
Jamiir Allen Jamiir Allen 6'0" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State WI — PG — Wisconsin Lutheran
Allen got his team off to a great start on Tuesday. Early in the first half, the point guard was unstoppable. He knocked down some tough threes, got his teammates involved, and played great defense. In 21 minutes of play, the PG was able to score 15 points on 6-7 shooting. College programs looking for a high-level point guard should take a look at Allen.
Riley Rindfleisch Riley Rindfleisch 6'8" Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 WI — PF — Wisconsin Lutheran
I think that Rindfleisch could be an x-factor for Lutheran moving forward. The 6-foot-8 power forward can be a real mismatch problem. He scores well inside the paint, protects the rim, and is a great rebounder. In Wisconsin Lutheran’s blowout win, Rindfleisch scored an efficient eight points on 4-5 shooting. Look for Rindfleisch to significantly raise his stock this season.
Kon II Knueppel Kon II Knueppel 6'6" | SG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2024 State #15 Nation WI — SG — Wisconsin Lutheran
In a big game against a top opponent, many highly touted prospects would try to do too much. Not Knuppel. The shooting guard took what the defense gave him on Tuesday night. He only scored 14 points. However, the shooting guard was extremely efficient. He shot 6-7 from the field in the winning effort.
Prentice Young Prentice Young 6'4" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State #273 Nation WI — PG — Wisconsin Lutheran
College coaches need to get on Young as soon as possible. He only scored nine points in Tuesday night’s victory, but on the defensive end is where Young hangs his hat. He caused countless turnovers and made Neenah guards extremely uncomfortable. Using his plus size and athleticism, Young is a tremendous defender.
Cal Klesmit Cal Klesmit 6'2" | CG Neenah | 2023 State #235 Nation WI — CG — Neenah
He certainly didn’t perform at his best on Tuesday night, but I still thought that Klesmit did some good things. I liked how the Neenah combo guard was able to get downhill and make some plays at the bucket. He drew some contact and was able to get to the free throw line. One loss won’t define Klesmit and this Neenah squad. Look for them to bounce back.
