is coming off a football season where he was named 2nd Team All-Metro by the Star Tribune. It would be understandable if he needed a few games to find his basketball legs. Versus Holy Family opening night the five-foot-eleven-inch point guard from Chanhassen dropped a massive 40 point, six 3-point performance along with 2 blocks. Not deterred by the twin six-foot-ten-inch center’s for Holy Family, Woods used his speed and quickness advantage to get to the rim like making jump cuts behind offensive lineman.

used that momentum immediately for Lake City. Opening game Lorenson poured in a career high 28 points versus Plainview-Elgin-Millville. Lorenson is a killer scorer at the elbows, using his dribble he got to his spots multiple times for scores. He’s a feisty defender on the perimeter, and doesn’t give up easy.

just scored 32 points, had 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 steals in a Chisago Lakes win over Irondale 83-77. Rowe’s growth as a shooter was on full display as he hit two 3’s and knocked down a dribble pull-up on the baseline. On defense, Chisago put Rowe at the top of the zone, his athleticism and length bothered offensive players. One possession Rowe came from behind on the weakside to swat a shot out of bounds.

is a six-foot-five-inch Junior Wing from Cannon Falls. While Johnson may not blow up a box score with a 30-point game, he will throw together something like he did versus Randolph, 16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals and a charge taken. Johnson is contributor in all ways of winning basketball, make the right plays, and do everything well enough you have to keep him on the floor.
Jerome Williams is a speedy, five-foot-ten-inch guard. His speed and quickness do really give him an advantage over his competition. Williams’ most defining parts of his game however may be his ability to knock down catch and shoot 3-pointers. Versus Maple River Williams poured in 30 points in these ways. Williams other showcased skill set over the week, 20 assists in 2 games. This gave him a pair of double-doubles of points and assists.

The six-foot-one-inch 2023 Senior Guard was a force versus East Central, hitting 3’s, pushing the ball putting defenders on their heels, and creating opportunities for teammates. Against Big Lake he pushed the ball in similar fashion and put pressure on the ball.
