Not sure why the kid didn’t start because they fell behind 7-0 right away and their offense was very slow to develop. Once Dorelle go t in the game things started to change. His presence alone attracts a lot of attention and it open up shooting as defenders dig in when he is posting up it also opens up lanes because other teams bigs do not play that drop defense. Juan Diego loves to play 2-3 and once he was in he got a block shot as he skied high to contest and reject. He runs the floor well and he is just showing that next level talent. If I was a NJCAA D1 I would be talking to him at least once a week trying to convince him to head that way. He is still raw but that raw talent he does posses is good enough. 4-year schools can make a push for him and have all those years to mold him into the talent they need him to be. In time this kid is going to blow up.
It is always great to see Brody go up against different teams from different states. Brody got off to a hot start last night in Mesa, Arizona as he was out in front of the pack getting buckets. He was hitting from deep and he was working the post. A very underrated aspect of his game is his willingness and ability to make elite passes. He was jumping in the mid-post and he kept his vision up as he was hitting cutter and open players that he found. Brody has been dominant rebounding and as soon as someone shoots the ball he starts crashing the boards. Brody continues to be a matchup problem.
There are times we see Brayden play and he is somewhat underwhelming and then there are times like yesterday that make you say, who is this kid. Last night he was blocking shots and simply playing high level defense against athletes that were attacking the rim. He was cleaning up the glass and he was getting the ball out quickly. on offense he is a project but he is starting to get some good looks over his left shoulder but he just doesn’t have enough game reps getting those shots off. If someone has a great developer with the bigs you will be getting a 6’10 kid with room to grow those skills.
Mason is strating to really take advantage of those looks he is getting. He had a big time game last night as he hit four 3-pointers and really demoralized the other team with that sharp shooting. Look for Mason to really turn things up as his teammates are looking for him and he is coming through
