<p>The Chatham Charter Knights are on quite the tear in the 1A East as they look to make another run in the state playoffs as they did in 2021-22. [player_tooltip player_id='1257290' first='Adam' last='Harvey'] is back and leading the way but it's also younger studs [player_tooltip player_id='1225619' first='Brennen' last='Oldham'] and younger brother, [player_tooltip player_id='1225618' first='Beau' last='Harvey'], that have lightened the load for him in 2022-23. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1257290' first='Adam' last='Harvey'] is up to 17.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 3.4 apg and 2.6 spg in the Knights' backcourt this season. He's a gritty guard that likes to get to the paint and make things happen off the bounce. 2-25s [player_tooltip player_id='1225619' first='Brennen' last='Oldham'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1225618' first='Beau' last='Harvey'] have turned a corner. Oldham is at 11.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.7 spg and 1.6 bpg. Harvey is averaging 10.8 ppg, 5.3 apg and 4.1 rpg as their utility guy in the backcourt. They've looked like an unstoppable force so far this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1360334' first='Aamir' last='Mapp'] (2023) and [player_tooltip player_id='1693917' first='Aidan' last='Allred'] (2024) are two other prospects at 6-foot-2 to keep eyes on as well. They're back in action on Friday when they'll face Southern Alamance High on the road.</p>

<h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1273256' first='Jamison' last='Graves'] leading Bishop McGuinness</h2>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1273256' first='Jamison' last='Graves'] is a new face in the Bishop McGuiness School as they're off to a 4-0 start. The unsigned guard kicked off the season with 28 pts and seven steals against Albemarle High and hasn't looked back. He's an efficient guard presence that can operate on all three levels and get others involved. He'll be back in action on Friday night against Bethany High.</p>

<h2>Farmville Central has some contenders in the 2A East </h2>

<p>Farmville Central is off to a 5-0 start but so are Goldsboro High and Manteo High as both squads look to make a deep run into the NCHSAA playoffs this season. Goldsboro is led by a trio of [player_tooltip player_id='949375' first='Ta'Korrie' last='Faison'], [player_tooltip player_id='1693944' first='Tajmari' last='Joyner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1076371' first='Amari' last='Latham']. Faison is a top prospect in NC's 2023 class while Joyner is a recent mover into the 2023 ranks with his fast start, posting 20.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 4.3 apg and 2.7 spg through their first five games. Latham is their newest face in the 2024 class as he's posting 17.0 ppg, 13.3 ppg and 2.0 bpg to kick things off.</p>

<p>For Manteo High, their leading name is [player_tooltip player_id='1693993' first='Kaleb' last='Spencer']. He's a 2024 prospect at 6-foot-6 that's emerging in the class. He's producing 16.8 ppg, 11.5 rpg and 5.5 bpg as a high-flying presence on both ends of the floor for the Redskins. Their backcourt duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1693974' first='Will' last='Waughtel'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1693975' first='Amyas' last='Kenyon'] have carried the load. Waughtel is averaging 12.8 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.8 apg and 2.5 spg while Kenyon is averaging 11.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.5 apg and 1.8 spg. Manteo High has made some early noise in the 2A East and is back in action tonight against Holmes.</p>

<h2>Trip McMillen leading the way for Surry Central</h2>

<p>The Surry Central Golden Eagles are off to quite the start at 6-0 thanks to 2025 wing Trip Mcmillen. He's putting up 16.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.0 apg and 2.7 spg while shooting 42 percent from the field and 32 percent from 3-point land. He's making waves early in the 2025 ranks and earned himself a spot on the watchlist with his play. 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1693994' first='Ayden' last='Wilmoth'] is right behind him in the backcourt, averaging 14.2 ppg on 18 made 3-pointers on the young season. </p>
