Jake Pike Jake Pike 6'7" | PF Houston St. Thomas | 2023 State TX – St. Thomas High School (2023)
Jake made his case known as one of the better players in this tournament in the prime time contest against LB Landry High from Louisiana on Wednesday. St. Thomas started off the game hot when Jake caught fire from the midrange area and also converted a couple fadeaway shots in the paint over the defense. Pike finished the contest with a total of 20 points and about 9-10 rebounds, notching a double-double. He was also impressive on the defensive side of the ball, showing speed and aggressive deny-ball defense on his matchup the entire contest. Jake will look to garner some offers from the collegiate level as he looks to prove himself this season with a chip on his shoulder.
Anthony Johnson Anthony Johnson 6'2" | PF Greenville | 2024 TX – LB Landry High School (2023)
Anthony was the playmaking facilitator for his team in the main event game against STH on Wednesday evening. He was a master of orchestrating the offense and was always finding teammates for open shots either behind the arc or the in the paint. Anthony also showcased expertise driving to the rim with a variety of dribble moves and footwork to constantly beat his defender for an easy bucket at the goal. Anthony finished with 15 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds to put together an impressive balanced stat line. Anthony will look to be one of the leaders on the floor for his team this season as he is one of the most vocal and emotional leaders on the squad.
Brandon Hardy- Zachary High School (2023)
Brandon took on the task of being the main scorer for his Zachary squad in their Wednesday afternoon contest against Lancaster High. Hardy was in charge of dominating the ball most of the game on the offensive end and showed he was up to the challenge, using all three levels of the floor to beat opponents. Whether it was driving to the rim, pulling up for a middy jumper, or getting buckets behind the three point arc, Brandon was hitting everything and managed to shake his matchup on more than one occasion with a couple crafty dribble moves. Despite the tough loss, Brandon managed a stat line of 26 points to become the high scorer in the game and also finished with 6 rebounds and 5 assists, showcasing his unselfishness and physicality on the boards.
Jordan Moore- Shaun Dumas Academy (2024)
Jordan was a monumental part of his teams high caliber contest against Fort Bend Hightower on Wednesday. Moore displayed his athleticism on more than one trip down the floor, rising up for several rim rattling dunks throughout the contest and often swinging the momentum his team’s way. Jordan was a big force on the defensive end, notching about 5 steals and either going coast to coast himself for an easy layup or dishing a fastbreak pass to a teammate for a sweet dime. Jordan is a very bouncy player on the offensive end and was very vocal in helping facilitate the offense. Moore finished the matchup with 17 points, 3 assists, and 8 rebounds, coming up just short of a double-double. Coaches, if you are looking for an athletic guard/wing, look no further than Jordan Moore out of Shaun Dumas in LA.
Cameroon Woodberry Cameroon Woodberry 6'6" | SG PSAT Academy | 2024 TX – PSAT Academy (2024)
Cameroon had his best shooting on display early in this one, hitting three 3 pointers from deep range to give his team an early lead in their game against Louisiana Carver. He also used his lengthy wingspan and athleticism on defense to swat away shots on the perimeter and block out opponents, securing defensive rebounds. Cam figures to be one of the primary starters in the rotation for this stacked squad, knowing his role and playing it to perfection as a shooter and defensive specialist. As only a junior, Woodberry has two more years of playing eligibility and will look to make the most of it while at PSAT on a playoff bound squad in a tough conference. Cam finished the 53-28 blowout of Carver with 14 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds as well as adding a total of 5 blocks. He went an impressive 4/5 from three point range and will only continue to improve his accuracy from deep.
