Seton LaSalle
Connor Spratt Connor Spratt 6'3" | PG Seton LaSalle | 2023 State PA | 6’2″ | G | 2023
Spratt is a high energy guard and the unquestioned leader of the Rebels. He’s a confident ballhandler who makes smart decisions in the halfcourt. He’s got the next level gear to break down defenders off the dribble and his shooting ability is fantastic anywhere on the floor. He’s an active defender who’s pesky on the press. One of the most under-recruited players in Pennsylvania.
Hayden Merchant | 6’5″ | G | 2024
Merchant showed himself to also have a high motor. He handles the ball pretty well for a bigger player and has range that extends beyond the arc. He’s got another year to go after this and as he hits the weights and matures physically further, he could be one of the top players in the South Hills next season. Colleges should be keeping an eye on him.
Nick Sikorski | 6’4″ | F | 2024
While Merchant spent more of his time on the wings last night, Sikorski was under the rim. He’s got a strong build and is tough around the rim. With another year to grow, much like Merchant, he’ll continue to improve and expand his skillset, but the potential to grow is certainly there. Colleges should also be watching his development as he could find a home in a conference like the PAC or AMCC.
Patrick Weldon | 6’0″ | G |2025
As a sophomore stepping into a bigger role after graduation and transfers out, Weldon performed well last night. He’s confident with the ball in his hands, can move the ball in their offense and can break down defenders. It’s early on him and he’ll continue to improve over the next three seasons, but he’s part of a talented group for the Rebels.
Serra Catholic
Joey DeMoss| 6’1″ | G | 2023
DeMoss showed a solid all around game and hit several 3s. He’s a tough on ball defender and the vocal leader for the Eagles on the floor. He was just about at his average PPG, hitting for 13 in the loss.
Owen Dumbroski | 6’0″ | G |2025
The biggest surprise of the night came from Serra’s sophomore guard. Dumbroski was confident with the ball in his hands against the tough Seton press, was able to break down defenders, get to the basket, play through contact and hit shots from deep. He led the Eagles with 22 points. He’s going to be a player to watch in the Mon Valley if these performances become the norm.
