Below is a review of several prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania who stood out during the opening week of the 2022-23 high school basketball season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279647' first='Sultan' last='Adewale'] – 6'9″ / Senior / Neumann-Goretti / Team Rio University / Small Forward: Adewale is one of the most powerful interior prospects in the region. He demonstrated that again during NG's win over Eagle Academy (NY) by scoring 20 points and grabbing 5 boards. It is ridiculous that this kid remains uncommitted.

Jonathan Brooks – 6'4″ / Senior / Norristown / BW Elite / Small Forward: Here is a multi-skilled, athletic and quick forward who can finish with authority that is flying under the radar. Brooks posted an impressive double-double (18 & 11) in Norristown's victory over Wissahickon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1379429' first='Donovan' last='Fromhartz'] – 6'4″ / Sophomore / Downingtown West / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] National / Small Forward: One of the most versatile offensive prospects in the area, Fromhartz put all his skills on display, pouring in 25 points vs. a talented Archbishop Wood team. Unfortunately, it was not enough for D-West to defeat Wood.

[player_tooltip player_id='1382963' first='Jake' last='Kapp'] – 6'3” / Senior / Boyertown / Eastern PA Elite / Small Forward: This uncommitted senior can score with his back to the basket or from behind the arc. In Boyertown's win over Antietam, Kapp recorded 20 points, 4 rebounds and 5 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1379452' first='Andrew' last='Phillips'] – 6'4” / Senior / Malvern Prep / Gibbs Elite / Wing: Last month we highlighted Phillips as one of the favorites to win the 2022-23 Inter-Ac POY award. He quickly made our prediction look good with a 28-point performance in a loss to AFS. Phillips (200+ lbs.) can bang on the interior or splash threes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1589403' first='Julian' last='Sadler'] – 6'2″ / Junior / Perkiomen Valley / Prim3 Tim3 / Combo Guard: We named Sadler as one of this past summer's biggest 2024 stock risers and he made us look smart this week. He opened the high school season with a scorching 27-point performance. Sadler got into the paint for lay-ins, drained threes and converted on FTs as PV opened with a win over CB South.

[player_tooltip player_id='991395' first='Horace' last='Simmons Jr']. – 6'6” / Senior / LaSalle CHS / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] National / Wing: Simmons (Drexel commit) showcased an improved offensive skill set at the Triangle Club Tip-Off Tournament. He was named MVP of the event after averaging 19 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. He scored 21 points in the championship game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279645' first='Ife' last='West-Ingram'] – 6'6” / Senior / Abington Friends / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] National / Wing: An athletic, slashing style wing, West-Ingram netted 18 points, including the game winning flush (which came off a backdoor cut) against Malvern Prep. Rider University is getting a scoring wing who is also a plus defensive player.
