Spivey just recently helped the Eagles win a SCISA Class 3A State Football Championship as a Quarterback. Hudson threw for over 8,000 passing yards and 100 career touchdown passes with the Eagles. Spivey recently went over 1,000 career points on the hardwood. Hudson has a soft touch around the basket, and he really knows how to use his body around the rim. He can step-out to the elbow and knockdown jumpers.
Turman and the Flashes were perfect this week at (3-0). Ty likes to show some Flash at times with his ball-handling skills and the ability to make shots. Turman is quick to get to his spots on the floor if that means hitting jumpers or getting into lane and dishing off to a teammate. The Flashes were a bit short handed on the roster, but it surely didn’t slow them down this week at the Bay.
Will the Flashes be a competitor in the Upper State this season?
Bell has to provide leadership for a very inexperienced Bears roster this season. Tony is a jet quick point guard from side to side on the floor. He really likes to get the ball to the basket and inside in the lane. Bell will provide defense 94-feet at times and a willingness to jump on the floor for loose ball while taking a few charges along the way.
Carvers Bay HS will look to get into region play after the New Year and maybe make some young Cubs to mighty Bears when February rolls around.
Mr. Waters sure doesn’t lack confidence for the Eagles of Military Magnet. Jamaree was able to explode to the cup at times and drop a few floaters along the way. He surely makes the Eagles offense go with his ability to score the ball at times. The Eagles have made some good improvements since seeing them back in Mid-November at Cathedral Academy in North Charleston.
Jared really took some tough shots at times for the Hornets. He needs to add strength down the road. Ledbetter is best suited off the ball while showing shooting mechanics. Jared understands good shot selection and a willingness to win. He always remains active on and away from the ball. Look for the Hornets up in Due West to surprise some folks this second half of the season.
Pelzer is just a new name to help fill the load for the Saints. The Saints never rebuild just reload with longtime Head Coach Zam Fredrick. Emanuel has good size from the shooting guard position. Pelzer was able to slash to the cup and fight through traffic at times. He really showed to have good body control at times and the willingness to use a ball-screen to create own shots. Emanuel dropped 26 points in a game vs Bamberg-Ehrhardt HS here at the Class A Showcase.
Pressley had a big football season this fall for the Golden Flashes. Alontre has a quick trigger release and the ability to knockdown perimeter jumpers from behind the arch. Pressley a wide receiver and defensive back on the football field brings a competitive edge to the hardwood. He recorded a few solid games here at the Class A Showcase by scoring 21 points in one contest and 17 points the other night.
Can the Golden Flashes be a sleeper in Class 1A in the Lower State this season?
