Darrin Ames Darrin Ames 6'1" | PG Kenwood | 2023 State #99 Nation IL , Kenwood 2023
44 points in the FIRST HALF. Just got bucket after bucket in the frame and never lost confidence. Hit countless 3’s in the first half. To prove he wasn’t ball-hogging, Ames dished out 7 assists by the end of the third quarter. He had 57 points at this moment. He finished with 65 in a 122-48 rout.
Daniel Johnson Daniel Johnson 6'6" | SF Whitney Young | 2023 State #231 Nation IL , Whitney Young 2023
What a game he had. Johnson did not miss a single shot until the final seconds of the opening half. His ability to stretch the floor and score at all levels is outstanding. He caught fire with 13 first quarter points. He started the 2nd quarter with a put-back finish and a spot-up three from the top of the key. He didn’t get cold after his first miss. Had a baseline jumper to begin the 2nd half followed by a layup in transition. Ended with 26 points.
Keshawn Hobson, Proviso West 2023
Hobson had quite a day on the interior. He scored 17 points and drew several fouls. He knocked down 5-6 free throws to go along with six more inside buckets. But his effort on the glass was more impressive. Hobson had an astounding 18 rebounds. Despite a close loss, Hobson was dominant on the interior.
Jordan Woods Jordan Woods 6'2" | PG Hammond Central | 2023 State IN , Hammond Central (IN) 2024
Jordan Woods Jordan Woods 6'2" | PG Hammond Central | 2023 State IN is one of a few promising Juniors they have to offer. He loved sharing the rock early and picked up four quick assists. He would eventually lead the Wildcats in scoring, finishing with 20 points.
Nojus Indrusaitis Nojus Indrusaitis 6'5" | SG Brewster Academy | 2024 State #79 Nation New E , St Rita 2024
Nojus Indrusaitis Nojus Indrusaitis 6'5" | SG Brewster Academy | 2024 State #79 Nation New E opened the game with a 3 and forced two turnovers on their end of the floor. He then dunked driving baseline in the 2nd quarter and found another bucket cutting inside. Nojus stayed consistent throughout the day and finished with 21 points and four assists.
James Brown James Brown 6'9" | C Link Academy (from Chicago) | 2024 #66 Nation MO , St Rita 2024
Brown had a solid 14-point outing. He went 6-7 from the floor and made several athletic plays at the rim. But his defense is why he’s on this list. It seemed almost impossible for Bowman to score against him today. He also won the rebound battle on both ends.
Bryce Coleman Bryce Coleman 6'6" | SF Proviso East | 2023 State IL , Proviso East 2023
This is Colemans fourth school. Yep, fourth. Not only that, he’s made an impact everywhere he’s been. Today was no different. Coleman was a strong presence inside and finished with 16 points and 6 boards for Proviso East. He played at this tournament in 2019 for St. Joseph before spending time at St. Rita and Niles Notre Dame.
