The annual National Hoopfest took place at DeMatha again this year, and as always it featured some of the top teams from all over the country and was absolutely loaded with prospects for all levels. It has become a must for college coaches to stop by, and with all the talent it makes sense.

We will take a long look at the many standouts from the event, starting with part one of the standouts from the Virginia schools.

Harris was huge for O'Connell in their last second win over STAB, as he was consistent throughout the game and then came through in the clutch hitting the game winner with less than 2 seconds left. The 6'6” forward is a walking mismatch as he can play on the wing or in the post, when he's at the 4 he can pull other bigs out where he can put it on the deck and attack the rim and he can make shots from deep and from the elbows as well. He finished with 21 points and 4 rebounds in their win.

Quincy Wadley | 6'4” WG | Bishop O'Connell '26

Wadley is one of a number of talented freshmen on this O'Connell squad, and he was huge for them in their win and showed a lot of intriguing qualities moving forward as he starts to get recruited. At 6'4” with long arms he's likely still growing and will become even more athletic as he grows into his body, he made shots from deep and in the midrange with little space and was a consistent scoring threat that also brought it defensively. He finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds on 6-for-10 shooting from the field and 4-for-7 from deep.

Adam Oumiddoch | 6'4” CG | Bishop O'Connell '26

Oumiddoch is another impressive freshman who had a good showing for O'Connell, and his ability to play both on and off the ball and make plays on both ends of the floor was huge for them. At 6'4” he can put it on the deck and get downhill where he has great body control and finishes well through contact, he can knock down shots from deep and he shows a good motor and good instincts on the defensive end too. He finished with 11 points and 4 rebounds off the bench in their win.

[player_tooltip player_id='999617' first='Carter' last='Lang'] | 6'9” C | STAB '23

The Vanderbilt commit has always been one of the most productive players in the state since he was a freshman, and he showed that in their loss to O'Connell as he was dominant in the paint and a big reason they were almost able to come away with the win. He attacked the glass aggressively on both ends of the floor rebounding in and out of his area, he sealed well and used his big frame to present a target and he finished consistently around the rim and in traffic. He finished with an impressive double-double of 14 points and 19 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='999628' first='Desmond' last='Roberts'] | 6'5” WF | STAB '23

Roberts is one of the most underrated seniors in VA, and he showed why in their close loss to Bishop O'Connell as he brought great energy and production to his team. He's a big time athlete who can defend multiple positions and rebounds well, he has improved a lot in his ability to catch-and-shoot from deep and he understands his role and plays within it and is still productive. He finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds in their loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='1340929' first='Austin' last='Williford'] | 6'5” WF | STAB '25

Williford is one of the most intriguing prospects in his class in VA, and he showed why this weekend as he played with a terrific motor and was a two way impact guy for them. He's long and explosive as an athlete who can play above the rim and rebounds well, he can defend the other team's best player at multiple positions and he can score the ball in a lot of different ways without taking bad shots. He finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds and was impactful despite not having the best shooting night.
