Steven has displayed some talent at the PG position as he has a strong stocky frame and he uses that stop and go that allows him to switch speeds to get to the lane or find open players. Great facilitating PG that can also score. Has some go to spots out on the floor hitting those mid-range jumpers. He can get down hill and absorb contact and finish against the trees. Kid is a small school type of guard who is tough. Burgess had a great showing at the Tarkanian Classic dropping dimes and scoring the ball.
Russ continues to do his thing and he is a solid next level PG. He is handling the ball well and getting the ball to the right guys as he is reading he defense and taking what is given. At the next level he will be able to develop even more skills that will help his team win.
Right out the gate and the tip this kid is putting pressure on you. It is quite confusing to see teams not do their homework or maybe they do not have access to film or something but they are really letting this kid at times just do what he wants. He is getting free runs at the rim and he is either getting easy lays that he uses his patience with or he is getting an easy drop step or lob dunk. When this kid gets to the next level he is really going to develop because right now there is nobody in the state that can give him a challenge as he can go over both shoulders and keep that ball high.
Solid SG that has that locked in shooting. He is a catch and shoot knockdown killer out in the perimeter. He is a player you can’t leave open. Excited to see more of that shooting. He can really stretch the floor.
Every time we get to see this kid he impresses. He finds ways to score and the way he can get creative and think quickly and be productive is something that you can’t teach. He could be that hybrid 3/4 at the next level. NWAC schools need to jump on this kid ASAP. He does work in the post and he has some agility working his way on the lane.
