Ryan Burmstead — F — Port Washington
In a blowout win for Port Washington, Burmstead stepped up and played a tremendous game. He was able to score 18 points on a perfect 7-7 shooting from the field. The forward has been a bit inconsistent this season, but when he is on, Burmstead is very good. Tuesday night marked the third time that Burmstead has scored in double figures this season. Keep an eye out for this forward moving forward.
Joey LaChapell Joey LaChapell 5'10" | PG Appleton East | 2024 State WI — SG — Appleton East
I have been really impressed with LaChapell this season. I thought the Appleton East shooting guard had a good showing this past summer, but it appears that he has taken his game to another level this winter. He is scoring well and doing it very efficiently. In a significant win for Appleton East over a very good DC Everest squad, LaChapell performed well. He led his squad in scoring with 23 points. Even though he doesn’t possess the upside that some of his peers own, there is no doubt about the SG’s ability to perform well on the court.
Bradley Bushke — F — Mayville
Mayville wasn’t able to earn a win on Tuesday night. They fell to a solid Lakeside Lutheran team. However, there was a bright spot for Mayville in the loss. And that was Bushke. The forward was able to tally 23 points in the loss. Bushke has played really well this season for Mayville, as he is scoring over 14 points per contest.
Mason Freiburger Mason Freiburger 6'6" | PF Germantown | 2024 State WI — F — Germantown
It was a balanced attack for Germantown in a win over Beaver Dam on Tuesday night. Many Germantown prospects got involved. One of the top performers in the win was Freiburger. The forward scored 13 points in 22 minutes of action. He also was able to grab seven rebounds. The 2024 forward stands at 6-foot-6 and does an excellent job of using his size to dominate in the paint. Freiburger is certainly a prospect who I will be tracking very closely in the coming months.
Grant Hardy Grant Hardy 6'3" | PG Appleton North | 2026 State WI — G — Appleton North
Appleton North appears to have a very bright future. A major piece in North’s future plans is Hardy. the 2026 guard is no doubt one of the best young prospects in the state. Through eight games, the guard is scoring 14.2 points per game. On Tuesday, Hardy played a good game. He scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out three assists. I have a feeling scouts will be raving about Hardy for years to come
M.J. Stackhouse M.J. Stackhouse 6'7" | PF Kenosha Indian Trail | 2024 State WI — F — Kenosha Indian Trail
Stackhouse is one of the best players in Wisconsin’s 2024 class. The Kenosha Indian Trail forward has played some great basketball this season. In a big win for his squad over Westosha Central, Stackhouse posted a double-double, scoring 26 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. If Stackhouse continues to develop and improve his game, he could become an intriguing college recruit.
