Hogan Demovsky Hogan Demovsky 6'2" | CG De Pere | 2023 State WI – 2023 – G – De Pere
Talked about this over the summer, very few prospects have paid their dues like Demovsky and the fruits of his labor continue to pay off. The senior guard torched Bay Port right from the get-go, scoring 11 quick points on 4-of-4 shooting. After his spurt, the game was effectively over. Demovsky would finish with 15 points and is now averaging 11 points per game alongside three other scholarship prospects. While his offensive numbers are up, Demovsky hasn’t forgotten who he is and what always got him on the floor — defense. The Kinziger brothers are both outstanding perimeter stoppers as well, but what a luxury De Pere has to put them on the bench, give them some rest, and let Demovsky harass the other team’s best player for a bit. A prospect that’s still climbing the rankings thanks to heart and effort, Demovsky can help a college program even if he never plays a minute. He’ll work your starters to death on the scout team.

Jayden Hackett Jayden Hackett 6'4" | SF Bay Port | 2023 State WI – 2023 – W – Bay Port
A big sleeper right now in the 2023 class, Hackett had 15 points and some big time moments despite a blowout loss. An intriguing 6-foot-4 wing, Hackett is a heckuva athlete who can also score the rock in isolation. Hackett burst onto the scene in July and continues to show rapid improvement. You give him a lane to the rim, Hackett can explode of the ground. He’s also developed the perimeter skills to size up his man and create a jumper. Given his length, athleticism, and motor, there’s defensive versatility here as well. Hackett moves very well laterally and doesn’t mind getting caught up in switches. If I’m a WIAC program, I’m looking at Hackett as a late potential steal.
Will Hornseth Will Hornseth 6'8" | PF De Pere | 2024 State #208 Nation WI – 2024 – PF – De Pere
Serviceable and dependability are just the words that come to mind with Hornseth. The 6-foot-8 forward can dominate a game in a variety of ways without being flashy or loud with his play. De Pere has so many scoring options and moves the ball so well, Hornseth can go a long period of time between touches, but if you get him that ball on the block, he’ll generate a high quality look. Every time he steps on the floor, Hornseth is going to control the glass, protect the rim, and run the floor in transition. There are so many parts to his game — he might not be elite in any particular area, but there’s really just not anything he doesn’t do well. Hornseth finished with 12 points, but had his finger prints all over Tuesday’s win, blocking shots, setting solid screens, and passing out of double teams.
John Kinziger John Kinziger 6'0" | CG De Pere | 2023 State #257 Nation WI – 2023 – G – De Pere
Every undersized prospect gets knocked in this business. There’s just some where you don’t care how a tall a guy is. Kinziger fits that bill. The Illinois State commit completely controlled the game on Tuesday, dropping 31 points and nine assists. It just looked too easy against a Bay Port squad that was supposed to be De Pere’s biggest contender in the Fox River Classic. Everybody knows about his movement without the ball and the sharpshooting ability, but Kinziger is much more well-rounded of a player than he gets credit for. Even at 6-feet, he’ll take guys into the post and score with power. Kinziger’s gotten so much better on the ball as well. He sets up defenders with ease, getting them leaning one way and then striking into a gap. If you overplay the drive, Kinziger’s step-back footwork is just seamless and lightning-quick. Kinziger is also so in-tune with his teammates. He’ll whip that ball all over the floor to the point where the defense doesn’t know what hit them. Just not worried about him defensively either in the Missouri Valley Conference. Kinziger is a gritty kid with plenty of want-to on that end of the floor. His heart and anticipation skills will help him overcome any size issues he may have.

Jackson Yanda – 2023 – SF – Bay Port
It wasn’t a great offensive night for Bay Port, but Yanda was a pleasant surprise. The senior wing scored a team-high 15 points and had a chunk of the easy buckets the Pirates were able to generate. Against a really good and connected defensive ball club, Yanda was able to work his way into the paint, shield defenders with his body, and keep the ball low in traffic. Thought Yanda had a good sense of the game. Knowing Bay Port’s stars were struggling and being hounded, Yanda took it upon himself to carry more of the load.
