While my colleague Mike Roth will have a more in depth recap of the event, I will provide a couple name that caught my eye in the 3 games I caught.

Carter Vandall Carter Vandall 6'5" | PF New Philadelphia | 2023 OH
Vandall is a name I had heard of before due to his play in the East District, but never seen until Sunday. The 6’5 PF looks like a Division III prospect with his size and toughness. Possesses a thicker frame and certainly knows how to use his body on the blocks. Solid footwork around the rim and uses the post spin move to square and attack the rim. Vandall isn’t stuck on the block and showed willingness to get midrange shots up and comfortability possessing the ball. Vandall’s biggest area of improvement will be finishing more consistently around the rim and finishing better through contact.
Kayden Schaffer
Kayden Schaffer
I was intrigued by Schaffer with his style of play. Isn’t going to score the ball at a high level, nor is he going to jump off of the page with athleticism, but Schaffer has a solid frame just like his brother Kaleb Schaffer. Long arms and a high motor, especially on the defensive end. Kayden has some areas to continue to grow, notably with his shooting mechanics and decision making, but he has the intangibles and the motor to excel at the Varsity level and can continue to bring defensive minded basketball for the Silver Knights.
Ryan Auletta
Ryan Auletta
Auletta is one of the more well-rounded prospects I watched on Sunday and was instrumental in the St. Charles’ competitive game against Pickerington North. The 6’0 guard orchestrates the offense and understands how to play half court basketball. Shooting mechanics are clean and a very unselfish and willing passer. Certainly a Division III prospect and can play in a few different systems.
Ian Abrass
Ian Abrass
Abrass played hard and played the right way for the Jaguars in their loss to Richmond Heights. Part of a very good junior class, Abrass played his role in the offense which was keeping the ball flowing and moving between the many shooting options. Knocked down some big 3’s and played with a motor and toughness on the defensive end of the floor. Bradley is known for having guys that play hard, physical basketball and Abrass continues that tradition of talent .
