It was a fun up and down game with T-Town leading for most of the game by around 10 points as BCC could never break through getting multiple stops in a row to cut into the lead as Teutopolis won 75-64. Here are our 5 Best: Bloomington Central Catholic vs Teutopolis!
James Niebrugge (Teutopolis – 2023)
The senior wing was very good for the Wooden Shoes in their victory. The small forward scored from all three levels draining a pair of threes, crisp mid-range jumper, and getting to the rim. Gritty wing that rebounds well and is scrappy on the interior. Scored 16 points.
Brendan Niebrugge (Teutopolis – 2023)
T-Town guard made some huge threes early in the game draining a pair of them in their first half barrage. Liked how he got to the line and nailed key free throws in the second half en route to 15 points.
Caleb Siemer (Teutopolis – 2023)
The Wooden Shoes big man changed the game in the middle portion with his physicality on the glass and post scoring on jump hooks and put backs. Got second chance points for his group and rebounded very well in his area for 15 points.
Cole Certa Cole Certa 6'4" | SG IMG Academy | 2024 State #129 Nation FL (Bloomington Central Catholic – 2024)
Certa is a top 5 junior in the state of Illinois. Went for 25 points in the loss but had to work for it. T-Town focused their defense on him even at times throwing two guys on him. He hit several mid-range jumpers, scored on cuts off the ball, and had a couple nice bank in short jumpers. Also drained three from distance including a pair of deep ones. Solid overall passing feel for a secondary ball handler at the next level. He had 25 points. Mid-major plus prospect that has high-major potential.
Colin Hayes Colin Hayes 6'6" | PF Bloomington Central Catholic | 2024 State IL (Bloomington Central Catholic – 2024)
Hayes was a spark for BCC in the second half. The big man stands at 6’6” with good athleticism and rebounds well. Offensively most effective out of the dunker spot converting layups on dump offs and rim running. Also caught a lob from Certa for 12 points.
