We had a Sunshine Series champion crowned and a lot of big time prospects on display. Prep Hoops Florida scout Ross Van De Griek was on site and here are some of the players who stood out in the first half of Day 4.
The 6-3 senior guard was electrifying to watch scoring in a variety of ways. He was finishing with contact at the rim, as well as shooting from beyond the arc. Sheppard led all scorers with 25 points and four 3-pointers in a 82-66 loss to Winter Haven.
The 6-5 junior combo guard was scoring and facilitating for Winter Haven, finishing with 24 points and dishing out six assists in the 82-66 win over North Laurel (Kentucky). He had a real smooth touch to his game shooting 9-of-13 from the field and 4-of-5 from deep.
The James Madison University signee finished with his second double-double in as many games here at the City of Palms. Carey finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds in a 77-55 win over The Villages Charter. Carey also hit a pair of 3-pointers in the first half and had also added a couple vicious dunks at the rim.
The 6-8 freshman was impacting the game in a variety of ways for Westminster Academy, finishing with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in today’s 77-55 win over The Villages Charter. Constanza is one of the top ranked freshman in our Prep Hoops rankings and has made a strong case for that in the two games here at the City of Palms Classic.
