Not guys that have been seen over and over, written about, and talked about, this is a true statement. Guys that haven’t hit these pages but should have, and they do today!
Section One. Senior Connor Todd of Farmington. A 6’2 guard who earned all conference honorable mention last season for his defense and efforts off the bench. And remember, he’s the player that hit the game winner against Lakeville South this season.
Section Two. Senior Dawson Reif of Chaska. Another 6’2 guard and Dawson is a veteran who was one of the Hawks best four players last season and now he’s back to lead the Hawks into a new era. Athletic player that defends hard and attacks the rim with success.
Section Three. Senior Henry Saykeo Henry Saykeo 5'11" | PG Burnsville | 2023 State MN of Burnsville. Henry is a 5’10 guard that was honorable mention all South Suburban last season after scoring nearly 13 points a game. Henry is a key reason – along with Khalif Bettis Khalif Bettis 6'6" | SF Burnsville | 2023 State MN and 7’0 Henry Buchanan Henry Buchanan 7'0" | C Burnsville | 2024 MN – that we think Burnsville will be better this season.
Section Four. Junior Elijah Barrett Elijah Barrett 6'4" | PF Tartan | 2024 State MN of Tartan. Elijah is a 6’4/6’5 active big man who came off the Tartan bench last year and gave them a good effort, and good numbers in the time that he had. Plays physical and has potential to be a one or two year all league player.
Section Five. Senior Jacob Becher Jacob Becher 6'3" | SF Mounds View | 2023 State MN of Mounds View. Becher was honorable mention all league last year combining attacks and three point shooting into an 8/9 point per game season a year ago. Becher will move into a spot as one of the key players teams need to gameplan for in the SEC.
Section Six. Senior Stefano Giovannelli. Another 6’2 senior that was all conference last season, only this player was an All Metro West talent along with top names. He scored 11 a game and has a chance to have a great year. Scored 23 points against BSM last year.
Section Seven. Junior Nolan Dumonceaux of Forest Lake. Nolan finds himself in this spot after he was named all league honorable mention last season because of his relentless effort as a sophomore. Scored seven points a game but gave effort to rebound, defend, and actively.
Section Eight. Senior Carson Haack of Elk River. Scored double digits per game last year and did it intelligently without hurting his team. Takes the right shots, scores around the cup using his frame and leverage. rebounds, defends, and all around plays in a way that his coach can trust.
