Players To Keep An Eye On:
Wiggy Ball (6’2/G/2025)

Wiggy enters into his sophomore season as a player that Hartfield will rely on for production in many facets on the offensive end of the floor. He will be needed to score and facilitate, two things he can do very well. He is a gifted passer and will have to be able to get his teammates involved by getting them the ball where they can be successful. Look for Wiggy to be huge when it comes to point production, both by getting his own and creating for others.
Austin Ratliff (6’6/F/’24)
Austin brings size to the court for Hartfield, which helps him to be a shot-blocking threat. He secures the interior for his squad, and even though he is not an imposing physical presence in the paint, he has the ability to cause potential drivers to think twice before attacking the cup. He rebounds at a high rate on both ends of the floor and will need to average double-digit boards this year. Offensively he thrives in transition and is at his best when he can get out in the open court.
Silas Clark (6’3/’23)

Silas is one of the seniors that Hartfield will rely heavily on for leadership. He is a physical player that impacts both ends of the floor. He brings a level of toughness to the floor and does not back down from any challenges. He is a slasher when the ball is in his hands as he is looking to get to the cup. He has the ability to make the open 3-pt shot, which helps to keep the floor space for his teammates who like to attack off the bounce.
When asked about two players that will be critical pieces of the puzzle for his team this season that was not listed in the three above, Coach Ball quickly mentioned the following three players:
Daelin Harper will be a significant presence on the defensive end of the floor as he is a very solid on-ball defender. Look for him to be matched up at times against the other team’s best scoring options.
Andrew Lee and Pepper Wilson will be relied on for their outside shooting. If they can be threats from behind the arc, they could space the floor enough so that the guys who can get to the cup will have room to operate.
Season Outlook:
Coach Ball expressed that he has a very young team this year and that it will be important for his guys to focus on stifling man-to-man defense and turning their defense into offense. Every time his guys take the floor, he wants the opposing team to know they are facing a defensive first minded team that brings in your face pressure. Offensively he wants to control the flow of the game, and he wants to do that by pushing tempo. He believes that if his guys can stay committed to the process and get better each day by improving their skills, they will have a good shot at accomplishing their season goals.
