Prep Hoops Region Predictions:
Wade Hampton HS – The Red Devils have one last go around before merging next season to make Hampton County HS.
Woodland HS – The Wolverines have plenty of talent to surprise some schools this season.
Barnwell HS – The Warhorses will rely on young gun Gage Dicks Gage Dicks 6'1" | SG Andrew Jackson Academy | 2025 State SC to lead the team for Head Coach Marcus Rivera.
Edisto HS (Cordova) – Longtime Head Coach Herman Johnson is back to lead Cougars once again.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville HS – This program is trying to get back to the good times that were just a few years back.
Gray is back to lead the way for the Red Devils. Issac has been named Prep Hoops Preseason Region Player of the Year. He brings good leadership and a willingness to win games. He plays the game very unselfishly and brings the team mindset to the forefront every time.
Gray averaged 12.3 ppg last season for the (24-3) Red Devils. Issac plays for his father longtime Head Coach Romon Gray at Wade Hampton HS.
Middleton is a RAW talent on the hardwood for the Wolverines. Malique runs the floor very well and likes to set up shop on the wing. He would be a great rim runner at times when he just glides over the floor with his length and long wingspan. Middleton plays very active in the passing lanes.
Edwards sure doesn’t lack confidence on the floor at all. He ran on the Grassroots Circuit this season with TMP ‘ last=”]. Ty’ree can get the ball to the basket and drop a floater when needed. He shows to have good body control and a nice left-hand to finish at the rim. Ty’ree has a smooth overall game for the Wolverines.
Crittington is a late bloomer and a new name to monitor moving forward for the Red Devils. Antwan will play with his back to the basket and has a soft touch around the cup. He really looks to work inside the paint and still looks to be a RAW talent for the Red Devils. He could a missing piece for this Red Devils team to make a run this season in the Lower State.
Gage will have the ball in his hands a lot this season with the graduation of Russell Branch now at Fork Union Military Academy (VA). Dicks is a scoring combo guard who can create his own shot on the floor along with setting up his mates along the way. Gage has a great deal confidence and savvy on the hardwood. Look for him to lead the Warhorses for the next 3 years to come.
Goodman showed good progress this season playing as a freshman for the Red Devils. Joshus brings good versatility to the floor with his ability to play multiple positions. Goodman will be counted on heavily this season and look for him to set up his game.
Salley is a very athletic young man who plays great around the rim. Ja’Kease really excels in a transition setting and just playing the game as an activity guy. He plays the game to the fullest at all times and never takes a play off. Salley could really help this Woodland team out a lot this year with his play.
