Cole, a sophomore who didn’t see time in the state championship a season ago, will play a massively increased role this year. Cole has added muscle to his frame along with confidence over the offseason. Jaydon proved to fit in as a perimeter scorer, implementing his one-dribble pull-up with accuracy. He netted a pair of threes and was active on defense. Cole compiled 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. He went on a stretch over the end of the first quarter into the second scoring seven of the Tigers’ nine points, getting them back into the game after trailing early. Cole has the upside to continue to improve and could make the Tigers guard rotation even better than a season ago.

Bennett brings toughness and a chip on his shoulder. The guard is willing to do the dirty work defensively and picks his spots to do damage on offense. He scored with a short-range pull-up, a three-pointer and a floater. Standing 6-foot tall, Bennett is physically strong to make up for any height shortcomings. He mixes it up on the glass. Bennett finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.

Zak stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. Thomas is a heady player that cuts without the ball and can create for others off the dribble. Built like a linebacker, Thomas can sneak in to earn second chance points with his physicality.

The offense wasn’t there for Sanford, but the D-I prospect was able to use his wiry build and activity to do the little things. Sanford scratched out 2 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block off the bench. Lawrence is a wild card coming into the game, capable of scoring in a blink or as he did Tuesday night, influence the game with his hustle and quickness.
Highlights
Weaver made big plays in the second half to help Chestatee rally past North Forsyth, 60-55. More known for his slashing on offense, Jarvis hit a pair of key threes that helped the War Eagles stay in it. He did a good job making plays for others, getting into the lane and dumping off to his forwards where they could finish. Weaver showed maturity with his ability to make in-game adjustments. North Forsyth scored on the first play of the game on a backdoor lob. The Raiders tried the play at least two more times but Jarvis was able to identify the play and instead of getting sucked high he stayed back and put a body on his man and was able to break up each subsequent lob attempt. The high motor swingman compiled 9 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
