Enderlin Eagles – Team Write Up

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Eagles will have a "new look" team this season. They graduated 3 players that are now playing college ball. <strong>Joe Hurlburt</strong> = Colorado, <strong>Gus Hurlburt</strong> = Northwestern, and <strong>Alijah Dixson</strong> = Lake Region. This does not mean that the cupboard is empty in Enderlin. The Eagles bring back 3 experienced and talented players, they also have potential with some young players. Enderlin finished last season with a 17-6 record. <em>Calvin Kraft</em> is the head coach of the Eagles and he will have his work cut out for him this year with the new squad. [player_tooltip player_id='1050248' first='carson' last='bartholomay'] will be the big name for the Eagles this season. He will likely be an All-Region player and he has the potential to play himself into All-State nomination as well. They came up one game short of the State Tournament by losing to Kindred in the Region 1 Championship. The Eagles played the toughest schedule in the Class B. They played many other top Class B teams from across the state, they also traveled to MN and SD to play high level teams. For the regular season, Enderlin won the Region 1 title for the second year in a row. The Eagle squad regularly held open gyms and they also participated in a couple team camps. The Eagles will look to Bartholomay to lead the team. Carson is a 3-level scorer, he should draw large amounts of interest/attentin from opposing teams. Bartholomay is an above-the-rim finsher that can put on a show. He also hits 3's, slashes for scores, and he can score in the post. Wall was a role player last year and he will now blossom into a scorer and a serious ball handler, which he is very good at. Look for Trey to show his true colors this year! Amerman can play great defense and he will provide the Eagles with a post presence. Look for Amerman to help keep teams honest as Wall and Bartholomay will gather much attention for opposing defenses. Amerman is another guy that will have the chance to step into the lights and blossom this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Eagle Up-and-Comers</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Anthony Wendel</strong>, <strong>Ayden Glarum</strong>, and <strong>Brenan Bartholomay</strong> all gained valuable experience by being part of a great run last year. We will need to be better at our 2nd, and 3^rd options as we won't score as easy as we have in the past. Lisbon is our top rival as we play for the GOAT and we are close in proximity. We will look to win the GOAT for the 6th straight year, we play at Lisbon this season.
