This group brings back a handful of returning letter winners with some potential to get excited about. The Bulldogs were 3-18 last year, you should expect an improved team. Baltic is in one of the toughest Regions in South Dakota, so they will have their work cut out for them. See below for more information on the squad from Baltic.
Top Bulldogs
Matt Ditter Matt Ditter 5'10" | SG Baltic | 2024 SD (2024) 5’10”
A guard who was Baltic’s leading scorer last year with 10.4 ppg. Mark is a returning starter who will be one of the Bulldog’s biggest perimeter threats this year from behind the three-point line. The Bulldogs hope to see more from Mark on the defensive side of the ball as well. Expect Ditter to garner much attention from every team.
Jack Erickson Jack Erickson 6'5" | SF Baltic | 2024 State SD (2024) 6’3″
He is a swingman who is versatile enough to play inside and out. Jack was the leading rebounder for Baltic last year at 7 rpg. He will be looked at to shoulder a bigger part of the offensive production this year. Erickson has the game to hurt teams at the rim and step out and knock down a 3 as well.
Matt Munson (2023) 6’1″
He will primarily be a stretch-4 for the Bulldogs this year. Matt has been solid as a defender for the last two years and he plays with a lot of poise when the ball is in his hands. He will need to help distribute the ball this year to help the Baltic offense click.
Gunner Schultz (2023) 5’10”
He has the ability to get to the rim off the bounce. Gunner is a quick perimeter defender that moves his feet well. Schultz will handle the ball at times this year for the Bulldogs. Baltic will need him to be a two-way player this season.
Beau Breece (2024) 5’11”
A guard who will do a lot of the ball handling for the Bulldogs this year. Beau has great instincts defensively and he does a good job of getting the ball to the Bulldog scorers. He can also look for his own shot and score buckets as needed.
Clay Lardy (2023) 6’3″
He is a post that eats up space around the basket. Lardy will provide a post presence for the Bulldogs. On offense, Clay will help Baltic with his passing ability and his excellent screening that leads to his teammates getting good looks.
Tayden Hansen (2023) 6’1″
This senior guard will give Baltic good minutes on the defensive end of the floor. On the O-end, Tayden does productive work by getting to the free-throw line because of his aggressive style of play.
Up-and-Coming Bulldogs
Kellen Artz Kellen Artz 6'9" | PF Baltic | 2026 State SD (2026) 6’7″
This 9th grader has excellent length which allows him to contest shots in the paint. Artz does a great job of running the floor on the offensive end. This Bulldog is intriguing.
Blake Hookie (2024) 6’0″
This guard can put up points as a knockdown shooter.
Ben Erickson Ben Erickson 6'1" | CG Baltic | 2026 State SD (2026) 5’10”
He might be young, but he can come into the game and hit shots in a hurry.
Dylan Runestad Dylan Runestad 5'11" | SG Baltic | 2026 State SD (2026) 5’10”
Here we have another Bulldog 9th-grader. Runestad handles the ball very well and he can get hot from 3-point land.
Coach Alex Langner comments on the Bulldogs
“We want to get up and down the floor this year with this group. Defensively we want to play with a high motor and pressure the basketball, creating offense from turnovers and missed shots. Offensively, we want to space the floor and allow our athletes to get to the rim and create for our teammates. Collectively, we need 8-10 guys to give good effort this year for us to be successful.”
