Amare is true pass first point guard, who looks to get his teammates involved. He is a defensive minded player as well, and a pesky defender. He is a hustler, and always one of the first players on the floor for a ball. He reads the defense well and has good court vision. He can also shoot the ball from the outside and handles the ball with confidence. Amare is always in the gym trying to improve. I think you could see a big sophomore season from Nieves.
Highlights
Lucas is a crafty guard, and a strong three point shooter. Lucas has long range and can knock down shots in bunches. He has a soft shooting touch, and is able to get his shot off on bigger defenders. He can also take it off the dribble and get to the rim. Lucas is a shooter, but he can also impact the game in other ways as well.
Asante is a very athletic playmaker. He has the ability to play way above the rim, and throw down big dunks. He is more than just athletic though. He is a skilled player, who can score in bunches, and also locks down on defense. He also rebounds the ball well. There is a lot of upside and potential in his game.
Alex is a skilled player, and a three level scorer. He can score at the rim, and from the outside. He has a variety of finishing moves around the rim and is able to finish with both hands. He is a good defender, and can guard multiple positions. I think this could be a big stock rising year for Alex.
Highlights
Isaac has good length and size to match his skill set. He can play above the rim, and also has a soft touch in the paint. He is mobile and can run the floor. He is also a good shot blocker, and has good timing when blocking shots. I have been impressed the few times I saw him play this year. Isaac has a high ceiling with his game.
