Western PA Fall League Update #1

With Fall Leagues moving forward throughout the Pittsburgh area we begin a series dedicated to top performers in a variety of those leagues. In the first update here at Prep Hoops Pennsylvania, the guards of the region take center stage. We are extremely interested in the following players and will be analyzing their progress the rest of Fall League as they navigate throughout the regular season this winter on the hardwood.

Daemar Kelly Daemar Kelly 6'3" | SF Penn Hills | 2023 State PA / 6’5 combo guard / Penn Hills High School / Class of 2023 / A skilled, athletic combo guard that has all the abilities to help produce a winner at Penn Hills for his senior season. Headed to Quinnipiac next year to play at the division 1 level, Daemar will look to showcase his talents on the hardwood throughout the WPIAL. He will continue to put in the work to make himself better and will be a leader for his teammates.

Dame Givner Dame Givner 6'1" | PG Imani Christian Academy | 2025 State PA / 6’0 point guard / Imani Christian Academy High School / Class of 2025 / This talented young man transferred from Obama Academy to his current squad and has made an immediate impact on the court for Imani Christian. He brings high energy on the defensive end while having the ability to score in bunches on the offensive end of the floor. Dame is a skilled performer that will continue to develop into a big-time prospect in the future.

Dante DePante Dante DePante 6'3" | PG Central Catholic | 2023 State PA / 6’2 point guard / Central Catholic High School / Class of 2023 / He has continued to garner college recruitment even during fall league games. His smooth, slick ball handling creates many opportunities not only for himself but his team during every contest. Dante puts in consistent effort outside of his practices to develop a complete game on the hoop court.

Peter Kramer Peter Kramer 6'4" | SG Hampton | 2024 State PA / 6’2 combo guard / Hampton high School / Class of 2024 / This sound, solid player has grown into a proven leader for his new team after a transfer from Shady Side Academy last season. Leaving a WPIAL Championship team and moving over to his new school in the location he resides brought some different excitement. Peter can shoot the light out regularly while looking to push the ball in transition.

Shea Champaine / 6’1 point guard / Bishop Canevin High School / Class of 2023 / Despite losing many talented players to graduation or transfers, this top performer has taken his squad on his back in a positive movement toward another successful season. He brings quickness on offense and defense which makes him a nightmare on the court. Shea is looking to have a huge senior campaign Bishop Canevin.

Meleek Thomas Meleek Thomas 6'4" | SF Lincoln Park | 2025 State PA / 6’4 combo guard / Lincoln Park Performing Arts High School / Class of 2025 / Even though he hasn’t played in the Fall League game, this top performer and highly ranked player will save his energy for a title run this winter on both the local and state levels. He brings the confidence necessary to compete at an extremely high level. Meleek’s star will shine brightly throughout the season and his future holds a variety of division 1 offers moving forward.
