Texas Top 250 Expo- 2024 Combo Guards

He has a very high release point for being under 6 feet at this point in time. He gets great elevation from his legs on his jumper, allowing him to release it over his defender's outstretched arms. He is not just a shooter off the bounce, he gets to the rim at will and loves putting the right dump off pass into his big man's arms. He showed real point guard instincts with the way he created looks for his teammates within the half court. I loved his quickness with a live dribble, allowing him to punish defenders on the fast break. He is a smart hunter for his shots, and knows how to use momentum for his benefit. He uses limited dribbles to get to his spots, whether he is getting to the rim or stopping on a dime and rising up in the mid-range. Herrera is a skilled guard who scores at a decent clip for his size, and showed an ability to produce on or off the ball. He showed an ability to create looks for his teammates as well, especially on the fast break keeping his head up to break a press or push the fast break. I loved his creation of space out of the triple threat, exploding out of his stance and getting into the mid-range or the paint to draw a second defender. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kaison Membane</strong> 2024 6'2 Frisco Wakeland High School</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"id":"block_633b475369d75","name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1408427"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"align":"","mode":"preview"} /--> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaison is a high level athlete who is willing to dominate his match-up on both ends of the court, constantly flying around wreaking havoc as an on ball defender and a three level scorer who is fearless when he attacks the rim. I was very impressed by his intensity and the motor he always played with, going a million miles an hour after loose balls and long rebounds. He chased down opponents on the fast break to tip them off the glass, and then running the other way to score in the mid-range on a tough pull up. I was very impressed by his ability to take what the defense gave him, both on the fast break and within the half court. Membane is a tough guard, who is willing to do all of the dirty work to help his team find success on the court. When paired with an elite ball handler, he showed an ability to find his own space by working off the ball, and catching the defense sleeping with back cuts.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1274790' first='Kaden' last='Jackson'] <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/kaden-jackson-2/"></a> </strong>2024 6'0 L.D Bell High School</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"id":"block_633b476369d76","name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1274790"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"align":"","mode":"preview"} /--> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaden is the ideal glue guy at the guard spot with his ability to score off the catch, or create his own looks and facilitate for his team. He has the ability to be the focal point of his team's offense with his consistent shooting and flawless mechanics. However the aspect I liked the most had to been his shiftiness without the ball in his hands. I loved watching him work off the ball to find space for himself and quickly getting his shot up over defenders. I was blown away with his ability to score from the perimeter, while also putting the ball on the floor and getting into the lane and scoring at the rim. Defensively, he is a stout on ball defender who is great at moving his feet and staying with his opponent on the defensive end of the floor, he locked up his defender with his ability to keep his man in front of him. I would like to see him work on his ability to create more for his teammates, he sees the floor at a high level, the next step is to be reading one step ahead of the defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
